Machetes are easier to carry around and easier to use.
But it's harder to find a good durable machetes, especially when half more than half of the population got screwed

One of the main reasons I learned to ride a motorcycle was to be prepared for the zombie apocalypse, no joke. All of my main friends and myself are pretty well prepared for Z day. We'll be taking my buddy/neighbor Dan's multi-fuel Deuce with a steel camper shell on the back and filling it full of guns and supplies. That MF is indestructible and it runs on anything flammable.

Well I suppose that Zombie Apocalypse has about as much of a chance as Y2K did... or that the world will end on 12-21-12...

the part about regenerating a brain was in a scientific journal...

some drugs make people act like zombies.
remember the homeless man that got his face bitten by a dude high in "bath salts".

the guy acted much like a zombie.
he was shot several times in the chest with 9mm/40/tased and still attacked the victim.

I don't know man, the very first article is not quite what they implied. Toxoplasmosis doesn't control rat's brain, it cause brain inflammation and increase of dopamine level.
Virtually reduce rats' emotional respond including fear to cat.

Wrong. An axe is very unbalanced and awkward to swing. You're going to miss, lose your balance, fall over and fall victim to the zombies. To get a precise swing you must hold the axe up by the head which leaves your arm close and vulnerable to the bit of the zombie. The crowbar has balance and has two sharp ends and is a giant hammer. You can also swing it fairly accurately by holding the end of it, keeping your distance from the zombies.

Well take your movies and shove it. You need to read this book because it covers ALL bases. From one or two in your back yard that are easy to contain, all the way up to full on new world order and apocalypse.

Anyone who hasn't read the book shouldn't be commenting on zombie survival. They don't even know. I am glad to know that when the zombies do come that I've got plenty of idiots surrounding me that will make nice snacks for the zombies long before I. Haha, suckers!

Seriously.

EVERYONE! There has been a correction! I checked my source and in fact, the best compact hand weapon to use against zombies is the trench spike! Even with the crowbar, then the sword. The axe is on the list, but it doesn't rank high. The crowbar is about even with the trench spike not in the killing aspect, but it is a very useful tool for prying open doors or moving objects, of which other weapons cannot do.

A good addition would also be the weaponized shovel that green berets use

Perfect for killing zombies!

true, but have you fought against 4-5 guys at a time?
it tough when they aren't trying to kill you.

imagine if it was your enemies only purpose, then you'll realize the strength they possess.

No they're not. The bike itself cannot be slow, it is human powered. YOU might be too slow. However, I happen to be pretty ****in' fast on a bicycle and could pedal my BMX on flat ground up to 30 MPH. That is faster than any zombie is going to run and on a BMX bike which is very hard to go fast on. I could easily get away from zombies on a bicycle, especially something with larger wheels, tires and gears like a mountain bike or a road bike.

Besides, the zombie survival guide says that the bicycle is the best, so you're automatically wrong. Have fun being eaten when the zombies all hear the ear splitting noise of a dirt bike and head towards you. After you run out of fuel (which you will pretty fast on a dirt bike) all you are at that point is a meal on wheels. While they're eating you I'll silently cruise by on my mountain bike and have a silent laugh at ya, then keep on pedaling because my body is the fuel and I stay in shape so I can keep riding for hours on end.

Have you ever ridden a bicycle before? I'm guessing you haven't. Anyone on a bicycle can easily pedal away from a human being. While it is true that zombies do not know exhaustion or tiring, they still are fairly limited in how fast a human body can move/run. If they really start turning up the heat and getting close to you their rotten flesh and muscle will allow for limbs to easily be blown off/severed, slowing them down, increasing the distance between you and the zombie.

I don't run out of energy. I've pedaled at times for 12 hours straight. Sorry I'm not fat and out of shape like you are. Maybe you should ride a bicycle more!

This is all assuming you're omnipotent and know exactly how all future events will play out.

Just saying, I've got the physical endurance to ride for hours. I can drain a tank in my MX bike in one hour. Even my little gas sipping CRF100 probably would run out of fuel long before I could stop pedaling a bike.

Even though the book is ridiculous and I don't believe there will be a zombie apocalypse it is a good book to read for ideas about what you will face in a survival type situation. After reading that book I got into better shape and ate better to prepare for a situation I might find myself fighting for my survival. That's all you can do is prepare. Fail safe and simple is the way to go in a survival situation. There are a lot more things to fail on a motorcycle compared to a bicycle and everything is a lot more complicated to understand on a motorcycle when presented to someone who is unknowing of bicycles and motorcycles.
