Speeding Tax
5 years, 3 bikes, 25,000 miles...and I got my first speeding ticket. 74 in a rural 55 zone, on the 300. Don't know the price of the ticket.
Oh well, cop was professional. I was pulled over, before he completed his U-turn. Thought I might get lucky fore being honest/polite. I guess this is the price we pay to have fun, once in awhile.

sounds like he gave you a break giving you 74 in a 55, 75 in a 55 would have warranted a stiffer penalty.
Cops in MD have let me off with a warning on multiple occasions. Every time i have been pulled over in PA i have received a ticket which is at least 9 times. Being polite, courteous and trying to make the traffic stop as stress free for the cop as possible only goes so far. |

I always act professional when receiving a ticket. Then I get a lawyer.

Not worth my time. Unless my license is at risk or the ticket is over a couple hundred.

Better luck than me, I haven't gotten a speeding ticket but I have gotten a ticket riding my bike....On the first day I had it on the road and registered.
On my way home after putting a whopping 14 miles on my bike. Was stopped for not having eye protection. Did I mention I was wearing a full face helmet with the the visor half open going 20mph in a 25mph on a back road in the blazing florida heat? It's a HJC so there's 3 settings. Open, half, and closed. Oh, this was also a biker cop too. that was fun getting a $135 ticket.... not. |

I try to avoid the PA cops not very into warnings! Plus the PA tictets cost more than other states they add a bunch of BS fees ontop of the ticket price. I got pulled over in new mexico told the officer it was a company car and speedo must have been off, asshat gave me a ticket for speeding and another ticket for faulty speedo and both tickets together cost less than 1 ticket in PA for 5mph over speedlimit

i got pulled over for doing about 98 in a 40zone. Apparently he was behind me for awhile (poorly adjusted mirrors) so i couldnt see him. When i did notice him, i of course pulled over and did everything you'd normally do. While standing next to my bike with my helmet off 4 patrol cars roll up all with the windows down and the drivers arm chilling on the window (was hilarious) and they were all amped up because the cop called for back up saying i was running. Ended up being nice and honest with him, got away scot free with a verbal warning.
i was literally 5seconds from my house, too. |

Still never been pulled over. I expect it soon, though, since DMV sent my new reg stickers to the wrong house.
Apparently when you update your address change, it's only for your license. Not your registration I ****in hate bureaucracy. |
