2012 Ninja 250 Rally
Alright folks, last year we had a blast on the East Coast....
http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showt...ght=2011+rally Is there any interest for doing a Ninja 250 (all years/gens) rally again this year. If so, we should probably start discussing. Where? When? This is an awfully big country, so we need ideas... If, for some reason you all decide Colorado would be a good location, I'd be happy to be your host for that, but I have a sneaking suspicion, that's not gonna happen... SO! We're also talking about this on ninja250forum.net, and NewNinja.com as far as I know. Not sure what the elitist ninja250.org is doing...

Sounds cool to me. Is it gonna be another Tail trip like last year? I think it would be cool to maybe have it somewhere centralized US. Then have like regional people meet up and make their trips out there together. Like all the NC/SC/VA/MD riders would organize together to meet up and make our trip out there, Same for west coast etc. Then we all have this ride and get together when we get there.

If we did East coast last year, my vote for this year's location is probably not unexpected...

I think a "regional" gathering would be best, then 1 national every year, kinda like COG does. Tail of the dragon was really cool last year, and its my home so thats my vote BUT I completely understand that it should be different every year.

If any of your guys are interested in a regional rally, you could always come to the "Occupy Laurel Fork" rally next month in WV.
It was originally an attempt at ading a third Adventure rider rally to the campsite--we do one every fall and spring already at Laurel Fork--one of the highest elevation places in the state. But then most of the other guys became less interested since the campsite is officially closed in January, as there's already a foot or so of snow there right now, and they don't plow the dirt roads. So then the hardcore riders decided to protest the closing by camping there anyway. So if you guys want to join in, here's the info: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=743013 Just so you know before you come, last winter the temperature got down to -2.4*F there.

So just out of curiosity? If I had a 250, and now have a 650. Would I be invited? What if my gf has a 250?

IMHO she is probably hotter than yours. Just kidding I haven't seen urs. Be she is hott! And she wouldn't ride out of the state without me. But if u choose Florida for the rally then I guess she might go without me. LoL plus the weather is beautiful here. Just very few twisties :-(

The one chance you have of getting Florida nominated is if the only other choice is Kansas and Spooph makes the deciding vote. Also, I haven't dated a girl in 8 years, so I vote for holding the rally in any state with lots of attractice single ladies, while fully acknowledging that my vote should not count.

So let's see Miami has hott girls, Tampa has hot girls, Lakeland has rednecks, Polk county has curvy roads, Orlando has a ton of hotels, and my bike. LoL my vote is Florida.

It looks as of right now it is in the Beginning of August, in Asheville, NC. Where there are all kinds of great riding. Only about 2 hours away from the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Asheville is also right on the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Diamond back, and other great rides. If you can come, it is going to be great again this year! I'll keep everyone posted as things mature.

If it's Fl. I could come SEE some folks, hopefully, at the shooting range I setup. As well as set up a track day through pro bono debt. I could get Skippi laid so much he'll look like a horse rider, an old bud owns T's Lounge and I've personally counseled most of the girls, seriously, they need cognitive behavior support (i've an old lady and true). And in Skippis case, straight behavioral experimentation over and over again. |

The debate on where it will be is over... as blue said it will be in Asheville, NC this year.
If someone wanted to take the initiation to start a 2nd rally on the west coast or mid-west, then go for it. It is too hard to plan 1 (where the planners are attending) much less get another one going and organized. If someone does want to do that 2nd rally route, my only suggestion would be to stagger out when it will be held, so those who may want to/able to, can make it to both. There really is no reason not to have this 250 meetup happening in multiple places over the course of the year!!! (e.g. Cali meetup around Feb/March, Mid-west meetup mid summer and east coast end of summer/fall). |
