I see another 250 on CL for 4700 with 8000 miles. Why is the selling price so much? Id like to msg them and say: "its only a 250". =P I got mines for around 3500 with 5k miles.

dwn payment on the duke happened a month or so ago, it is crated and tagged, i made a deal that when i pay it off they ship it. i got pics of the crate and it int he crate, but that's it. white on black.

cant pay it off until this ninja is gone, sooner the better. just sell it for what is owed. it still needs paint, body is all done though.

Okay everyone...I was at the PX today and saw this thing. Does anyone have experience with it? Is it worth the clearance price?

Px which base you on? I don't know that brand but helmet cams in general are a good idea. Can watch videos and see what you need to work on and also good evidence incase done crazy crap happens. My bro got hit and ran and chase the guy down on his bike and got the whole thing on his go pro, insurance company gave him a nice fat check. I'm planning on getting a go pro myself the really nice ones are only $200 can't see very clearly but that looks like $149? It's a ordinal choice I guess I'm a quality nazi lol.

You get what you pay for. I wouldn't trust a lesser name. GoPro still has the best cameras. I wouldn't go with ContourHD or Drift either, too many negative reviews.

i have the drift HD 170 stealth. wish I had the Mini version. I have no problems using it so far. Cons for me is that it may be a little bulky, battery life, and the 180 degree lens. There were many occasions that i forget to rotate the lens and then have to watch my videos upside down.

I havent seen that before. Must be new. Were you looking for uniqueness?

how goes your search for the 250? I seen another posted but might be a lil too much. was a red one.

Have you gotten gloves, (pants) and a jacket already? if so , what are they? Like your helmet btw. Very visible. Im in the market for a new helmet (NEXX xr1r carbon) . I neglect mines big time.

I notice your purchasing all your stuff b4 your bike. Im purchasing After the bike. =P Only actual gear i had before the bike were a helmet and gloves. =P

I just saw it on the clearance endcap and was wondering if it's any good. Seems like a good price if it's a nice one. The only negative review I read about it was the attachment to the helmet kind of sucks.

Kind of got a halt on the bike search for now. Hubby goes up and down more than a carousel. I'm still saving and selling stuff I don't need to make some cash. I think after my surgery and I get a job it might speed up the process. I have a helmet, boots and gloves. I plan on buying better gloves tho. Still need a jacket and pants. I do know what I want tho so that helps. I hope to have most everything by the time I take my MSF. I saw that red one...not a fan of it. I'll hold out and wait for the one I really want. By that time I should have enough money.

OMG....I wish I had $4200. I'd buy this one. I've only seen 1 other one on the island. I like the ones that not a lot of people have. Like the black and red 2010 SE.

Bike down for another week. Found the source of my oil leak. The gasket behind the cover secured with phillips screws was flat as a pancake

http://i619.photobucket.com/albums/t.../110510014.jpg

Honda doesn't make the gasket for it, so I had to go to a home improvement store and try my luck there. It's a 47mm gasket, which is roughly 1-1/8", so I got one of those. The one I got though was really fat. Tried putting it in, and ended up cracking the cover in two places. Waiting on a new oil pump ($20 free shipping on ebay). The amount of oil coming out of that cover though was ridiculous. As soon as I started it up, it would start dripping. One big drop every 2-3 seconds.

so far, i had her go in circles then all of a sudden she pulled in the clutch too much and then it dropped. Went from wide circles and tried to shorten the distance. Found that i had trouble with tight u-turns within parking spaces. I was looking down the whole time. When i looked straight back, it was easy. I just wanted to stay in the parking spaces.

She was in first gear the whole time? Whenever I've taught people to ride I only have them in first gear to get use to friction zone and getting comfortable. I'd say try getting her use to being in second gear cuz its a bit less touchy and more stable in my opinion. Make sure she looks through the turns and pushes on the handlebars.

And Kat, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2AiJ...watch_response side by side comparison of the GoPro Hero2 and Hero. These are the two cameras I'd recommend because I know they are good cameras and produce good quality videos. (I'm a quality nazi )

cool, ill keep it in the 2nd. I cant wait to make it to one of the cruises. Id like to visually see some riding pointers.
tight turns are my problems. idk the 250's turning limit yet. How much feet can you apply u-turns?

I'm not an expert lol but just from what I've noticed and what has worked when I've shown friends how to ride I'd suggest the MSF course for her and yourself if y'all haven't done it yet though. Great class and they give really good advice and pointers as well. Tight turns remember to counter steer, lean and avoid freaking roosters x.x.

just google map tantalus drive/round top drive and you can see the turns. Tantalus drive has some mean blind hairpin turns. Round top drive is a bit more mellower with wide sweeping turns.

we can try and hit it the next time we ride, just be sure you ride at your own pace on this one.

FYI the 250 turning radiusis pretty good since your in such an upright position. You can push the bars full lock with ease in parking lots. When i first got my cbr i had to get used to the more hunched over controls and very limited turning radius.

Oh yeah i almost forgot to mention, when taking slow speed turns in parking lot helps to counterbalance with the bike, so instead of leaning in to the turn push the bike into the turn and while keeping your body upright lean to the outside of the turn.

tantalus is a pretty dangerous area if you aren't that good a rider. with the tight turns, wet areas of road, and oncoming traffic, i find the ride more tiring than fun.

still, the lookout makes for a great place to take pics of the bike.

just be careful.

True that its more of a stressful workout then anything. If we take just the manoa side/round top drive and just skip the punchbowl side/ tantalus dr. up to the lookout its a nice ride with some nice sweeping turns, zero hairpin/blind turns. oh yeah and no houses, just gotta watch out for police patrolling up and down
