Fair enough, sorry I didn't get to ya sooner. The offer is open to anyone who can put that front cowl to use. Same for that right-hand lower fairing.

Jacket has been spoken for by user Shawn. I also have a small Pilot/Yoshimura mesh jacket in blue/black. Picked it up as my first warm-weather jacket a couple o' years ago, but I just don't wear it much anymore. It's still in good condition and holding up well, with the exception of the removable rain liner, which didn't survive long. If you just want a very warm-weather jacket, it'll do ya fine.

Pics of the fairing and jacket available @ request.

Also still have an OEM foam air filter if anyone needs.

I understand. Thanks. My friend said he messed up something related to it and I'm not sure which so I'm waiting on a reply. I think he messed up the clips for the headlights when he was blindly replacing his. Are these part of the reflector backing?

any thoughts on maybe making it viewable only to members? free is free, but if we can help out a fellow ninjetter that may be better than visitors to the forum.

New gen is 2008+ so you have a new gen. Not sure if the kits are the same but they should be very close.

that's what I thought based on body style..but I'd rather get a toolkit that I know would completely work
over a toolkit that someone with a pregen can completely use..unless they are completely identical

Jacket is spoken for and has been shipped off to its new owner.

Available for a current rider who NEEDS an armored jacket. If you don't need a jacket, let alone a mesh jacket please don't contact me. Given the generosity gfloyd2002 showed me when he passed this jacket on to me, I want to make sure it goes to someone who truly needs an armored jacket.

It's the same jacket gfloyd2002 was offering up in the 2nd post.

Has minimal wear and tear - gfloyd really took care of the jacket. I've taken good care of it myself.

All I ask is that you pay shipping for it. First come, first served. Once I get your address I'll get a shipping quote from UPS and we'll go from there.

Please PM me if interested as I don't check this thread regularly.

Anyone have a mirror? Right or left, doesnt matter. Can be scratched up too. The only requirements is that its not bent and still has the glass. Other then that I could care less. I really want to make a custom mirror. I'll even make a DIY

Anyone have one?

Almost seem like a beggar asking for stuff. I assure you I'll actually pay you for what you give me when I get the money, I just haven't lately had the money after just buying my bike.

But if anyone has any sort of safety gear, I'd love to borrow it for a while (I'll buy it if I actually want to keep it or give it to someone else when I get my own new gear). I have an old helmet that's black, but anything newer that's more safe would be nice. Any sort of protective jacket and pants would be nice too for obvious reasons.

Lastly, if anyone has a front fairing, I'd love it.

Yes, I do, but I was hoping to sell it before I moved in the next couple of weeks or make it into a true "no cut" FE. That said, I didn't really give myself enough time for that and I'll take whatever I can get for it as long as you cover shipping. I am using the tiny metal piece that the plate directly mounts to and I was assuming that any buyer would still have that from their original. If yours got ripped off, I'm guessing you don't have it? Part no. 11-53.

I'll talk to the other guy and make sure he just wanted the mount. If so, I'll bring it to the tech day for ya (you are going, right?).

Edit: sent this message:
Quote:
The plastic mount with two mounting bolts, one arm bolt, and a lock nut are in flawless condition, but another forum member wants the mirror without the mount. I figured I'd see if you two could split it. Unless you still want the whole thing for $15, I'll send the mount for just the cost of shipping and he can have the mirror when I see him at the next tech day. How's that?

OK, I finally finished packing all my stuff and bringing it to a friend's where I will be for the next week before the cross-country move. I have it in a box that fits the whole fender pretty well but I'll cut it and make a smaller box for shipping.

If your fender got "ripped off," I should ask: What other attached equipment do you need? Tail light? Blinkers?

Also, I think the metal piece with the left and right reflectors can be used without the metal piece the plate normally mounts to. I'll find out. The people who go "all the way" with their cut FE still usually use that little piece under the tail, so we should probably ask if someone ITT has a FE kit and doesn't need that little metal piece.

THE SCALA RIDER IS NOT INCLUDED!!

My old helmet will expire in November and you are welcome to it, I have a TINY head, I wear a X-Small. It is a Scorpin EXO 400. If you think it will fit, you are welcome to it. The only thing I ask is that you DESTROY it when December comes around. And I mean take a sledge hammer to it!!! I would never want it to be given to someone and it fail. The visor has some scratches but didn't bother me.

What do you mean "expires"? and you should also require a vid of the sledgehammer action for the rest of us

There is a sticker inside the helmet usually under the lining with a Month/Year manufacture date. The helmet expires 5 years from that date.

You are right, a vid would be required, Thanks

I think she's talking about the common advice that a helmet is only good for 5 years from the date of manufacture even if it's brand new. While there is some truth to foam rott and such, it's not like that is some official expiration at all.

Right out of the owners manual:

"Even if your helmet has not been damaged, it needs to be replaced every 3 to 5 years depending on how much you use it. Over time, UV rays and adhesive and component aging will damage your helmet. Wearing a damaged helmet may increase your risk of serious injury or death in an accident."

It also states:

"If you buy a new helmet, destroy the old one to ensure it cannot be reused. Do not sell or give your old helmet, even if it has not been damaged. Over time the protective foam in the helmet will adjust to the contours of your head. If someone else uses this helmet it will not provide them as much protection."

The only thing I ask is that you DESTROY it when December comes around. And I mean take a sledge hammer to it!!! I would never want it to be given to someone and it fail. The visor has some scratches but didn't bother me.

Is anyone interested in my new-gen rear fender and light? I used the targa fender eliminator - so you are welcome to all the left over parts. I cut the light off - I probably didn't need to but, I did.

Floyd - this is a great idea, I was wondering what I was going to do with the extra parts - ninjette riders are just too cool...

[EDIT]
Sorry - it's been taken
