I have been following Isle of mann TT racing for many years., Last week the cable TV got knocked out. A friend gave me a Moto GP video from 2004 . With Rossi kicking butt. Now don't get me wrong. I cant and never will have ANY skill like the Moto GP riders ,But what surprised me is how careless and sloppy Moto GP riders are. Compared to TT riders. Locking brakes and falling down, hitting into one another, Running into the gravel .Instant death for a TT rider

Last year John McGinness foot slipped off the foot peg .It made front page news.

My guess....
He did the shoulder check to see how close his opposition was, turned and twisted....a bit too much.

Dumb mistake though.

It was in the Bols d'Or a few years ago. Dumbest thing ever. He must have been told that if he turned his head to look, it would cost him some speed on the straight (it does). But instead, he thought it would be a better idea to just sit up a little and peek through his legs to see how far back the following bikes were. When he did, he looped it. I hope his friends are still making fun of him years later.

I think the rider was checking "his boys". Sometimes happens to me on a long ride. Just gotta get some airflow going on and re-arrange... my position.
