Green looks good decals only; not sure about the seat personally.

The orange with the orange seat looks badass, IMO.

if I ever end up with a black bike, orange will be my secondary color and it will be badass

Liked the orange so much I went a bit farther with it. I oranged the rubber on the cowl, powder coated the bolts orange, smoked the headlight and turn signal (too lazy to find the right angle for a flush mount tonight, though that would look the best), and added a little bit of orange accent to the grips.

those bolts add so much, definitely one of if not the best secondary color schemes to go with that I've seen.

Black and orange work very well together. Only downside is that most companies don't do orange, so you'd have to do a lot of custom powder coating accessories if you want to go all out with it. In my opinion, if you have the money, do it; it looks absolutely awesome!

Black and gold looks good too, but everybody does that with their black bikes. I went with black and red on my 250, although common, it looks good and it's easy to do since most aftermarket parts come in red or have red options.

Agreed. Gold rear sets, levers (or gold adjuster on black ASVs), bar ends. Smoked double bubble windscreen (or paint the stock one black). And what happened to your front sprocket cover? Oooh, and swap the Ninja logo on the side fairing with a gold one. Gold Kawasaki logo too if you can overlay it right

Wow, those look awesome!

Definitely leaning toward the orange w/ orange seat.

Other orange accents would look awesome, when I get the money for it, lol.

Great work, saxnbass, thanks!!

I'm texting the pic to my paint guy right now to see how much he'd charge. He quoted me $500 to $750 for the whole bike, depending on the color. Hopefully this will drop it down considerably since my bike is already black.

Get a vinyl guy to cut the orange decals for you in vinyl. Cheaper than paint and easily reversible. OR take your fairings off, mask it off with painters tape and plasti-dip the orange on there yourself. That'll cost you maybe $25 for those little orange accents and if you end up not liking it or choose to sell the bike in the future, it's super easy to get off.

Hmm. That's not a bad idea at all. Not sure where to find a "vinyl guy", but I will look around.

My paint guy got back to me. Says that the tank and cowl would need to be repainted (since it's a custom pearl black job) and orange decal set ordered. Altogether it would run me about $500.

Seems a bit high. I may just do permanent black marker on the decals I have on the tank (they are candy blue right now).

Don't do that, find black overlays. I can't remember where I got mine, but I got red vinyls just a hair bigger than stock and put them right over my silver tank ones. Will run you about $10-$20 depending where you get them, and it'll be clean.

This was all vinyl.

Exactly. Just make sure they're the same size as the ones on the tank already. Then do wet application method to make sure you can line it up perfectly.

I will, but I probably won't get to it for a while. Want to take care of the tires first. . .

What do you guys think is a fair price to mount tires?

I had a guy on eBay cut some vinyls for me. I scratched the clear coat off of the factory stickers, applied the new ones and had it recleared.

I sold the bike before I could take pics. :/

Was hoping to get some help with a bike scheme idea. I tried myself, but am awful with photoshop.
I was hoping to sort of combine these two looks. I like the white, black, blue color scheme with the blue seat and wheels from the second picture. But I would like a white tank with the color wrapping around onto the bottom of the tank like in the first picture. I am unsure about the black on the bottom of the bike though. Thanks

Didn't quite understand what you were asking for, so I went ahead and did that white and blue colour scheme as you requested though.

I also did it as a "chromed blue" which I thought look sweet:

Agreed, just needs the passenger seat to color match and the wheels to be the lighter blue from the earlier version.

I like the dark wheels, and I'd put on a matching blue seat cowl to give the bike a clean look.

Man, these make me wish i had a dozen spare fairings lying around to play with.

plasti dip? you only need one set of fairings since it peels right off. I'm not sure about how easy it is to style instead of cover everything though.

I don't think you can get some of these colors in plastidip anyway.

And i would imagine as easy as you can put on blue tape, just need to peel it off before the plastidip sets otherwise you peel the dip right off along with the tape.

I'm not worried about getting it on, I'm worried about how secure it is without having a complete cover. It's probably fine but I feel as though the edges would catch on the wind eventually. As for the colors, such is life they do have a reasonable selection though.

The plastidip on my fairings don't have clear coat on them. So far the only spot that has peeled back is where i think i caught the bike with my knee to hold it up. The other side is exactly the way i painted it over a year ago. The edges are flush with the plastic and I see nothing that would make me hesitate to use it again.

Pretty durable stuff actually.

That's why you get it, keeps the real paint nice and safe for resale value while you get whatever color you want

Ok, one more request. Could you have the bottom of the bike black with the blue stripe running up the front like in the first picture I posted. Keep the back the same as the first picture as well, with the black at the bottom of the rear fairing. Finally could you remove the bottom portion of the blue stripe running from the tank in the second picture and fill in the middle indent on the main fairing black like in the first picture. Thanks again and hopefully I was a clear enough.
