Gel Insert DIY

Hey guys I just tried to modify my 600's seat with some saddleman Gel. Not sure if I have done it wrong because the seat is worse than before. I followed video guides and a couple of directions on various forums and still the seat turned out badly. I used be able to go 1 hour on stock seat before butt pain now it happens in as little as 20 minutes... I'll be ordering a Corbin for the bike soon in the interest of saving my butt.

Just wanted to throw a word of caution to anyone who was considering doing this to their bike.
This was the gel I used: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/s...saddlegel-pads

It looks pretty clean, like OEM. Here's a video I made of my process if you're interested. I don't mean any disrespect to the product. I'm sure I made an error in the installation somewhere since everyone talks very highly of the gel inserts.

Link to original page on YouTube.

Either way, I'm looking forward to getting a Corbin. Had one on the 250 and it was excellent.

^ hmmm click on video that is 8 minutes to see end result of gel seat DIY that could have been solved by a picture or 2 that I could see directly in the thread that would only take me a handful of seconds to view and form an opinion.....

either way I'm not watching the vid

I don't think I'm a lot dumber than you thought that I think that I thought I was once.

The gel insert was about $50, new cover about $50, I used my old seat, and decided to change the cover, just because... Same for the heated seat kit.
