[motorcycle.com] - KTM Recalls Childrens Pajamas

Recalls are a regrettable, yet regular part of doing business, especially for vehicle manufacturers. It’s not every day, however, that a motorcycle maker issues a recall campaign for children’s pajamas.

Yes, PJs. And onesies too.

KTM North America is recalling the KTM-branded Baby Racing Body onesie and the Kids Racing Gear and the Kids Gravity Gear pajama sets. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recalled products fail to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries. Federal standards require kids’ sleepwear be flame resistant and self-extinguishing if caught on fire.

The Baby Racing Body onesies are made of 95% cotton and 5% elastane (i.e. spandex). The Onesies come in sizes 18 months to 2T and in three choices of prints: orange with white sleeves, white and orange, and yellow with orange and black detailing, all with the KTM logo.

The Kids Racing Gear pajamas are sold as a top and bottom set in sizes 2T through 5T. The pajamas were sold in two prints: white with black, orange and gray. The Kids Gravity Gear set also includes a top and bottom, sizes XXS through L. It comes in white with blue and orange detailing.

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled items and return them to KTM North America for a full refund. The recall campaign affects 2,800 units.
