Happy For The 300 = Cheap 250s :
While currently being bored in my cubical stuck in IT guy hell, I finally made an account here after reading here since March. I’ve wanted a newer 250 (2008 – 2012), but even used bikes with 8,000 miles on are crazy expensive in my area. With the release of this beautiful new 300, I’m hope a dealer will be will to cut a nice deal on a new 250 or some decently priced used one will come up soon.

I would definitely not buy a new 250R. There isn't a large enough profit margin for a "good deal" to exist in my mind. MAYBE $500 off MSRP with no dealer fees. Not worth it to me.
Definitely look for a used one! Should be some deals out there when guys dump them to upgrade to 300s or bigger bikes |

As much as I want to buy the cheapest 08 out there, I have too many memories of pushing my old dirt bikes home when I lived in the boondocks as kid.lol I’m sure that there will be a nice craigslist deal I can find after tax time with all the navy guys around here.

Welcome to the group! I actually don't expect the prices to drop all that much, but I hope it works out for you. You'll enjoy either. The only reason I'd buy new is for the rumored upcoming ABS model.
Keep your eyes open and haggle a great deal for yourself. |
