DIY Ninja 300 Fender Eliminator Kit and New Rear Blinkers

Just got done with my fender eliminator kit and it turned out to be a very easy setup. I used the below parts and put a quick video of the finished product up as well.

First got these parts
Adaptor for the license plate $4

Adaptor for the new rear blinkers I got. $20

You will need a new flasher relay - At autozone the FL32 or EL12 works fine. $12
Just an FYI if you follow the DIY link I gave you below it has a three prong relay which requires a ground. The EL12 or FL32 are two prong and plug and play and do notrequire the ground. Hope this helps.

I did get blinkers for $20 as well. You could use the stock blinkers but it wouldn't be as clean or sturdy.

Here is a great Ninjette Forum DIY on installing lights and shows the relay location and such. Because of this I decided not to do a step by step.

Looks clean! I'd like to see an undertail pic with the stock stuff removed before mounting anything back.

Its just 4 screw holes and a square opening into the trunk for the existing wires. Thats it.

Go back again. It still says 2010 ninja 250r and 2004 zzr600 under your motorcycles. (It's another field to edit right on that same profile page)

I was going to try white wheel tape but then I saw the red and it really makes it pop in a nice way without being to much in person. I am very happy with my choice.

I am also really happy I went with the white over the SE Green I originally wanted. This is my first white motorcycle and I don't see myself getting tired of it.

Welcome, Eddie. Still have the two-fifty or was this a trade-up?

Of all the white motorcycles I have seen this one below is my favorite. I really like the white wheels on it. I am not sure if the little ninja could pull it off but this bike does and then you can forget about wanting red wheel tape.

Thanks for the welcome. I actually bought that 250 rebuilt to learn on then sold it about 2 months ago. I was going to buy a new one but i found out about this about a day or two before the new york release and my choice was made. I love it
First brand new bike. I'm scared of getting it stolen though because i live in an apartment complex. Wish it could sleep with me.

Hey @Surferboy120

What's the relay for? Couldn't you just splice the 12V LED blinkers directly to the existing turn signal harness?

Got a diagram for it?

Thanks!

Don't you think you could have made it a bit more compact? Good job though. Nice DIY.

Edit :- just saw your video, can't wait to see it finished.

You do splice the new blinkers directly into the existing turn signal harness. You are changing the relay because the existing relay needs so much power to activate. The new blinkers take less power to operate which prevents the relay from functioning properly.

This DIY does a great job of showing the install process which I will add to my thread and why I didnt go to deep into my install.

Yes I could have but I wanted the lights to be wider than most people go. The reason for me is that when i am driving and see a motorcycle with flush mounted lights its actually harder for me to see quickly which way they are signaling. Just a personal thing but with that mindset I wanted to make sure I wasn't hard to see for others. Once my new Texas plate arrives I will also be able to get rid of the license plate mount which will be nice.

I hate wheel tape on every bike I have ever seen.

I also hate R1s.

And midgets.
