I can't see why you need to cut the factory undertail. I did it both ways, once cutting , and once without. I think leaving it uncut is better

Also using the smoke tails , a nice coat of black paint on the back side goes a long way

Really makes it looks like a nice gloss black

Just wanted to give an update to the 2013 year:
Took her out first time in 2013!
Installed my battery tenders and new battery
Banged through the gears and grinned

Took her out. Did the battery and battery tender kit
Polished her up. Didn't ride (come on , it's pink)

Oh and installed this:

Now they sit because tomorrow it's back to rain and snow again

I like the black and pink. Very nice combo without too much pink. Wish I could get my wife to ride! That would be a look she'd really like with subtle pink accents without going overboard.

Thanks for the kind words! Means a lot.
I realized now, her rear seat isn't on in any pics lol. I just unplugged the bike from the tender (located under the rear seat)

She wanted a very clean look and wanted something no one else had. So my bike wouldn't look like every other red one

July 2015 updates wife's bike and mine

DJK hooked me up with some new parts , some of which still are not installed.
Forceofwill came through with helping me out with misc bolts I needed - thank you again

Still have my stainless braided lines from 2 years ago group buy to install but haven't had the chance.

About *50 outside and gusts of wind but I couldn't resist the fall scenery on the roads I typical ride on.
Stopped to make call , bike looked good. Grabbed a pic
Tried to break the 3,000 mile barrier , came close. Maybe next year lol

Just a little update
I lost one kawi key and both led key fobs.
So I ripped out my 463 million color led kit for a single red set up.
Ordered the strips online. Only did 5 - inside left and right lower left and right and rear.
Did all my wiring so you can remove the fairings and not be annoying with wires.

I like the undertails too... Was looking at them when I got the integrated tail light instead... Maybe one of these days I will graduate to LEDs too

Yeah when I picked up the bikes for the first time - I really didn't like that massive "dong" hanging out over the rear tire lol

The under tails IMHO was my favorite improvement to the exterior.

Also props to DJK (hope I got his username correct).
He has those side panels and dash made in CF when he was overseas. I bought them from him last year maybe?
Really sets off the CF yoshi and completes the theme I think.

You got that right! I've contemplated putting a pile of carbon on my bike; haven't justified it yet though :/
The big dong does look pretty stupid, it didn't take long for mine to get took off!

The most interesting tail or rain gaurd whatever ya call it, I think is on the Aprilia 800 dragster.

My head must've been on Italian-motorcycle overload. It's the Augusta Dragster 800 and the Aprilia RSV4-r (?) haha

I was just at the dealer today looking at these 3 cylinder and V-4s - I was soo amazed by them.... Such beauty
