Frando Brake Calipers?
Hey,
Does anyone know anything about these? Or if Frando makes one that will work on the EX250j? My bike is actually EX250f with a 2011 front end and a 2011 swingarm....so I figured this would be the best place to ask since I am already having to swap out the brake calipers... |

I've never used Frando, in fact I know nothing about them except they are made in Taiwan. I'd be interested to see how well they work but at the prices I'm finding I can get Brembo products for about 10% more.
In the end all these components are are shaped metal with some rubber pieces but what worries me is the tolerances. Chances are that they are good quality with tight tolerances since the equipment to make high quality parts is relatively inexpensive these days. It does appear, however that the finish is anodizing and not paint (NOT CONFIRMED) and I do not believe that finish would hold up to the heat cycles and weather as well as a painted part. TL;DR... Let us know how it goes! |
