yea most companies will offer some sort of accessory frame slider. and 99% of dealers will mount an aftermarket set on a new bike if they think they can make a profit, or if someone purchasing it is willing to pay for it.

I'd rather mount them myself so that I know it's done right. As you said, they do it for a profit.

Sorry, but they are stock equipment on those bikes. Check 'em out on the Honda site:

Told you I didn't want to prove you wrong. I checked lol. Expensive bike. Maybe a future bike when I'm old could be the 700.

What's the difference between sport-touring and sport bikes?

Sport touring is made for longer distant rides. Sporty, but a little more comfortable. Sports are more agressive riding posture and a little less comfy.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

If one was to make a CBR more comfortable for touring by adjusting the suspension, handlebars, windscreen, seat, and general overall tune of the engine to be better suited to the everyday needs of someone looking to do some sport-touring, it would definitely affect performance, BUT it will still turn quicker, accelerate faster, and be more aggressive in corners than a touring cruiser with a similar sized engine.

Also, Honda offers a sport-touring version of the CBR600RR in other countries.
http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/s...er/#!/cbr600f/
I'd be all over it if it was in the US.

Have you seen the Interceptor? Or the NT700V? I love the Interceptor. It's a commuter, tour, and racing bike all in one! Plus it has an INSANE undertail exhaust

Man I love motorcycling! When choosing a motorcycle their is no way you can pick one and be happy. If I had the money I'd buy every motorcycle!

Motorcycling is...is... indescribable.

Man I want a motorcycle so badly?

Can someone please buy me one?

I'm serious, please ?

Edit: The old Interceptors are nice Pre-2010. The 2010 Interceptor looks like a Cadillac, ugly.

Is the lawn mower not doing you much fun in the twisties??? I took my lawn mower out for a spin the otherday and boy she was fast. But... its a push mower and I had to run quite a bit to catch speed...

No worries. I'm on the same boat at you.

Mine is a push mower. It can also hit 3 MPH...then there's my Black & Decker Weed Wacker. That baby is electric, and a piece of crap.

Sure it would, in all the common sense areas;

extra weight of hard/soft bags and other mods will lower ground and cornering clearance
hard/soft bags larger wind screen will create additional wind drag
extra weight will alter acceleration/braking curve
mods to rearsets/bars to get a more comfy riding ergo will conflict with suspension design in a negative way

and so on and so on......

So essentially you can just make it back into a sport bike without difficulty can't you?

Most sporttouring bikes are bigger cc's and HEAVY (unless you get a vfr, or the new honda 700). My connie weighs like ~700 lbs. its pure joy to get on the 250 after riding the concours for any amount of time.
