Help! Blown motor!

Well I'm fairly new here, only posted a few times. I took my bike (2005 Ninja 250) to the shop for a tune up, long story short, I got screwed and my motor wound up blowing. I can't find any decent pregen engines for sale, but there are plenty of good, low mileage 08 and newer engines. What would it entail to swap in a newgen motor into a pregen frame? My bike is my only transportation and I desperately need to get it back on the road. Has anyone done this? Can I use my stock carbs? Stock exhaust or what? I'm fairly mechanically inclined but I've never done anything like this before.

Triangle things? What do you mean? And what about the exhaust?

He's referring to the front engine mounts. The 08 exhaust will not work without some hacking. I think the center stand is in the way. It's been done before and someone or two posted about the swap on their pregen.
