V-belt?
Thanks for looking into this. It's very interesting, but I have a feeling I'm going to have to be patient if I want in cheap, and with a custom ratio. |

Cool! I would imagine that it’s much lighter than a chain.

V belt or toothed belt?
looks like a toothed belt. Harley's use a toothed belt. V belts are horrible for efficiency and belt life because they create quite a bit of friction and heat between the belt and the sheaves. Toothed belts (or timing belts, etc), on the other hand, don't require quite as much tension for a given load, they also aren't requiring any clamping force to transfer power, which helps them run cooler than V belts. Cooler belt = longer belt life. |

It makes sure the back of the bike keeps up with the front.
Imagine how it would feel to crash on a bike with an open primary, and end up with the bike on its left side, on top of you with the engine still running. |

It's not like it can't happen. Just after this shot, I was trapped under my DT100, on its left side, with one of my legs hung up behind me in the bike so I couldn't move, and it was still running. It was bad enough that the exhaust pipe was warming my leg, without five clutch studs ripping me apart like that bike above would have done. |

i will get clarification. everything on the site has to be translated. still finding out how to pay too, it’s bizarre. the looming question is why all this trick stuff out of indonesia? none of the local conus sites or even ali are showing these cool items.

From Google Translate:

Limited edition is only 25 Sets. So it looks like they aren't in production yet, and they're going to make a limited run of 25 sets for some reason. Beta testing maybe? They say the belt pulleys are polyurethane, which is often used for low volume molding. It's often not the best material for longevity though. In five or ten years you may find that a pulley crumbles under load, or has turned to chewing gum. If you put http://www.sinnob.com into the Google Translate box, it'll translate the whole site. |
