My Ninja Cafe...work in progress

So I would just like to share a little bit of what i've been up to in the last couple of months... this has been a on going project, working on it durring the weekends when i get some time.

Started out like this.

Cut off the mounting tabs on tank to make it look a lil cleaner

test fit

installed clip ons and tach

That exhaust and coolant reservoir gotta go lol

had to make a plate for the upholstery guy...

mounting tabs installed

here it is!! off to get some foam and material put on... going with saddle brown color

I hope you guys like what i've done so far... not near done but i will post some more pics soon... i also had to modifie the frame a little. I will post pictures of that soon.
---------------------------UPDATE----------

Here is what i cut off

Still waiting to hear back from the upholstery shop. :/

Thanks for looking

Great work so far!!! Are you thinking about making some triangular panels to fill in the big open spaces right under the seat where the air box used to be? Or are you going to leave that as open space?

I love Cafes.. finding a 70's bike and adding all the things that come standard with most of todays bikes is a pain and can become quite expensive. I just wanted to be different. ;D

Woah! That is awesome! Like seriously! You have so much skill, it makes me sick to know I'll never be able to do such things!

The only thing I'm not crazy about is the color, but hey, personal preference!

You've done a phenomenal job. I was skeptical of a cafe Ninja but the color is gorgeous and I love the tail!

That is pretty bad ass. Love the paint pick too. Just another example that made-at-home doesn't have to look homemade.

That's a damn good looking bike.
Have you thought about a different exhaust? The Yosh looks a little bulky.

Impressive. If I'm ever rich with a lot of spare time I'm gonna pick up an old pregen or another 500 and do this to it and probably try about 50 times before I get it to look decently lol.

When I finish this bike I may do the same with a pregen. Maybe even make some custom seats for it down the road. One project at a time
