Are those aftermarket clipons or is the riding position different from the seat? Looks like you lean forward a good amount
Reservoir is getting some black paint today. . And yes those are aftermarket clipons.

Look at this on eBay:

Weapon-R 826-138-201 Aluminum Coolant Overflow Tank Honda Ruckus.
This is awesome! Once i get bored of the black stock overflow this is def my next option. I gotta get more little chrome accents here and there.

I concur. Not that you need my input. This is a 1% custom bike. Good work, my friend.

Your bike looks the business bro... I'm certain the side covers will clean up the look a lot and so will the exhaust... Fantastic work!

I like the open side . To me it looks heavy with side covers. It's just me but I would try to hide the wiring.

Ok so I found some time to work on my cafe this weekend. I started on those side covers agian.
Did a little trimming....

prepped materials

I figured if i don't like how they look once they are done then I can always go without them.. no big deal
Maybe will have paint here in the next couple days....stay tunned.

I like being able to look 'through' the bike. It does make it look more ethereal. It's actually what I like about some of the older Ducati SS models. (Full disclosure: I own one ) Expose that industrial art!

Then again, you're doing epically well without my input. Carry on.

Thank you guys for your input. Let's see how they turn out and then if I don't decide to have them on I'll do some wire tucking.

Nicely done! If you find the time, could you explain how you made the seat/rear of the bike? From what I can tell you made a male mold with some foam and then built fiberglass on top of that?

Very nicely done indeed! Two more questions if you could indulge me: did you weld those bars to the frame for the seat mounting bolts, or are they attached some other way? Also, is the underside of the mold covered at all in the rear?

Yes they are welded. As for the bottom of the seat...its not covered. It should be tho!

First off I just want to say this bike is amazing. Great job. I joined the forum so I could post on this thread.

I saw a youtube video of your bike a while back and was wondering how you made the cowl/cut the frame etc. fortunately I stumbled on this thread and its been very helpful in designing my own.

For your side covers you might want to try what this guy has done and use perspex. Bike is also a ninja 250. Personally I prefer the open look.

Almost forgot, how did you remove/cut off the mounting tabs on your tank? Thanks in advance

It's been said again and again but w/ all the great work you've done, hearing it again and again is on right! Awesome work. Really like the new fender choice. The side panels I could go either way one, but may i suggest making them out of wood with a rich dark golden finish on them similar to the finish you would find on a wooden plain propeller. If not wood, maybe matching the leather on the seat.

I have been away for a while guys and I apologize. I have not continued on the side covers, life took over. Thank you for your comment. To answer your question. If you look closely at the tabs, they are spot welded. This means that you can take a grinder and SLOWLY grind away the weld until they come off. Sorry didn't take pictures of that.

This is extremely impressive! I just noticed this thread today (new member). and thought this had to be my first post. This is an inspiring build and one of the only 250 builds i've ever thought were outstanding. Have you figured out what you're going to do with the exhaust yet?

Nice choice. Wrap the headers in black or grey heat wrap.

Ya, I think that'll look really good. You may want to bend the pipe leading to the can though, that way it will be parallel to the ground when you attach the pipe. I just dont think it would look as clean with another angled pipe.

keep it up!

I just read thru all 4 pages of the build, excellent quality. I agree with the rest that you need a chrome exhaust like the cafe bonnevilles would look sweet, the yoshi is too modern. I would paint the side covers black because that would be way to much green or just leave them off.

Congrats you got some great skills and its a beautiful bike.
