Is PBR a reputable company? Looking for frame sliders
I'm looking to get frame sliders for my 08 250, and the only brand my local shops carry is PBR.
Specifically this http://www.eurocorsa.com/cgi-bin/com...ey=50PC149-BLK They're selling it for 130, which is a pretty reasonable price. My other options are the shogun crash kit for 240-260, or wait two months for T-rex frame sliders but I don't know the price yet. Is PBR a good company? I've been reading they do motogp products, so they have that going for them. If anything can find anything on these sliders plz link! I can't find anything for the life of me. Thanks! |

Those look like just pucks. No brackets you need to mount them on? I think the general consensus is Shogun is the best bet for the 250R. The frame sliders alone are ~$150-$170, you don't need to buy the whole crash kit.

They should be frame sliders, if not I`m buying the ones that are frame sliders.
Oh ya I'm in canada, so shogun sliders alone are 210+. PBRs for 130 is considerable savings, just don't know how good they r Posted via Mobile Device Last futzed with by AdreeN; October 6th, 2010 at 04:07 PM. |

How do they mount? I think Shoguns are probably the best choice strictly due to their design. If you mount a slider on a long support the forces of a crash WILL bend the support. Even Shinto sliders, which mount to a bracket that attatches to the engine, would more than likely twist and possibly cause damage to the cases. The Shogun sliders mount to frame points and should withstand a major get-off without causing frame damage.
My SV has sliders that mount by 1 bolt to the head mounting bolt; I have stripped the threads out on a fairly minor spill. In the end you get what you pay for. I am getting the Shogun because I believe it will be cheaper in the long run. |

I thought they only made an alcoholic beverage that tries to pretend its beer, now their making motorcycle parts. I guess this economy has all the surviving companies branching out into new fields.
