Although BikeBandit.com AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring Indian Motorcycle, celebrates the history of all brands, this year, it turned an eye toward the future.

Around noon on Saturday, a large crowd gathered in the Hall of Fame tent to witness Indian Motorcycle's reveal of the first motorcycles of its 2015 lineup.

"Polaris bought Indian Motorcycles in April 2011, and 27 months later, we introduced three new motorcycles -- the Classic, the Vintage and the Chieftan," said Indian Motorcycle's Robert Pandya. "When we started promoting these bikes, I said, we have to be at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days."

L-R: Indian Motorcycle's Robert Pandya, AMA President/CEO Rob Dingman, and 2014 Grand Marshals Bobby Hill and Bill Tuman pose with a a 2015 Indian Chief Vintage.

The new Indians feature brilliant two-tone paint schemes that Pandya says were in high demand from riders.

"These are the paint schemes that everyone has been asking for," Pandya says. "You guys are the ffirst ones to see them."

On hand for the reveal were BikeBandit.com AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Grand Marshals Bobby Hill and Bill Tuman, who won AMA Grand National Events in the mid-20th century on the brand.

"The Indian was considered a little bit of an underdog at the time because it wasn't so popular, but it was a winning motorcycle," Hill says.

Two-tone colors for 2015 Indian Motorcycles include the Indian Chief Classic in Indian Motorcycle Red/Thunder Black; the Indian Chief Vintage in Indian Motorcycle Red/Thunder Black, Indian Motorcycle Red/Ivory Cream and Willow Green/Ivory Cream; and the Indian Chieftain in Indian Motorcycle Red/Thunder Black, Indian Motorcycle Red/Ivory Cream and Springfield Blue/Ivory Cream.

Indian Motorcycle will reveal the rest of its model year 2015 lineup at the Sturgis motorcycle rally Aug. 4-10.
