Patience is a virtue. At least that's what we're trying to remind ourselves as we sit here and wait "patiently" for more information on the 2017 GSX-R1000 Concept that Suzuki just pulled the wraps off of.

Suzuki tells us that the bike will use an all-new engine with variable valve timing, an electronic rider aid package highlighted by ten-level traction control system, as well as an all-new, lighter weight chassis and cutting-edge suspension components, but the honest truth is that "concept" means things could change between now and when the bike actually goes into production. For instance, things like electronic software (or even hardware) can be easily updated between now and then.

Suzuki confirmed that idea with a snipet in its teaser video that reads, "The model shown in this video is the GSX-R1000 Concept. The specifications, appearance, colors (including body colors), materials and other aspects of the Suzuki products shown in this video are subject to change by Suzuki at any time without notice, and they may vary depending on local conditions or requirements."

That could simply mean that the bike will not be available in the MotoGP-esque graphics or that the license plate hanger will be updated per different regulations in varying countries. Or, it could mean that Suzuki will continue to fine-tune the new GSX-R package before the bike actually goes into production.

So, dwell on that while watching the rest of the teaser video (above), which features some of the updates Suzuki is clearly proud of and likely won't put on the chopping block between now and when plans are finalized.

Which is soon, hopefully. We're only so patient after all.
