Question Vortex rearset install

I'm trying to install my vortex rearsets and I'm running into an issue.

The hinge pin that connect the pedal to the master cylinder doesnt quite fit in the pedal. I'm thinking about going to the dealer to see if a new one will fit but I'll have to wait until they open. I'm wondering if it's the manufacturing tolerance. Or can I find a slightly smaller one at a hardware store?

I can see some white space when I look from above.

Maybe I should just give it a good whack.

I had no issues installing mine. You might want to contact Vortex about the issue.

Guess I'll shoot them a note then.

Did yours come with a shift rod? Mine just had the ball joint so I have to reuse the stock one.

Also the brake pressure switch wiring seemed kinda short. I doubt that I can get the connection under the body work. Did you have that issue?

Mine came with a couple of ride and I bought the switch.
I had no issues, I just had to wire the new switch (I cut the wires so they would be long), I used the existing wires and added connectors.

Reused the original rod and it seems fine after I moved the shifter connection a few teeth.

Normally you try to set them up so the arm on the transmission shaft is parallel to the arm on the foot lever. It looks like the shift shaft arm on yours is rotated way toward the pedal. That could make for odd shifting, especially in the downshift direction. Can you extend the rod any more to get them closer to parallel?

If it's not a problem and it shifts great, ignore me.

It's pretty maxxed out downwards. There's adjustment room upwards.

At the stock marking, the pedal was around 10 o'clock.

Well, like I said, if it works well, nothing needs to be done. If it doesn't, I'd get a longer rod. The kit looks like a high quality one. Maybe they forgot to include the rod, and a phone call would get you one.
