Lunch at Meadow Lake and pie with Fall Colors - CB500X

Originally was going to spend two full days cleaning the house since lately I've taken to inviting people over and well, it's a mess.

But then my brain reminded me that soon the weather will turn and I'll be having surgery on my wrist, so my riding days this year are limited. Must Go Riding!

First off my new engine guards came in so an hour and a half in the garage pushing and tugging got those installed. I like them, hopefully it'll stop the fairing from braking any more than it already has.

Saturday, I rode solo out to Meadow Lake to meet a friend who was serving lunch for a dual sport ride that was going through the area. First time out there on my own and I was super anxious about messing up and falling down. But figured once I had the bike moving, just keep it moving, and all should be well. All was well. It was great hanging out with my friends, watching the big boy dirt riders coming in and heading out, and sacrificing a slice of black forest ham to the wasps that were pestering us. Got them away!

Sunday, had no real plans, so decided to go for the mountains. Then decided to go for pie. Then decided to go look at the leaves changing colors. Talk about a random list of goals. But it made for a very fun day and I even got to pick on a friend in Oregon by showing him my beautiful clear sky while he was suffering under a rain storm. Awwww

Short and sweet on the text. This was by far a visual ride, so here you go:

And for those curious where I went:

Sounds like a nice way to spend a couple of days.

Love it, great stuff. I really like the 500x more and more. I like seeing people actually consider using the bike in "adventurey" kind of ways

I'm hoping I can get out and do some camping before the weather turns, though already it's starting to get cold and wet. But my adventures will continue! Who knows, there may be one more long trip in store for the Ninja soon.
