Well, my ninjette is going to have a new home...

It's soon time to say goodbye to my beloved bike. Just finalized a straight trade deal for an 03 SV1000S. I'm not going to lie, I'm sad to see this bike go, but excited at the same time to move on to something different. The trade will likely be early next week.

The community here has been awesome over the almost 2 years that i've owned the bike, and I'll be sure to stop in when I can. I've learned a lot about not just my bike, but bikes in general here, and I'm constantly referring people to the tech sections. This is a great community and I'm proud to be a part of it.

Anyway, on to some pics of the new (to me) SV:

Nice looking bike. I really like the SV's, and am surprised I haven't yet had one in the garage at some point along the way.

thanks

I was a little on the fence over the half fairing, but it's starting to grow on me. The sound of this thing is really damn good too.

No more SVs, why?

I always wondered how such a bike with universal appeal can be pulled off. Obviously the sales should have sucked bad, but SVs are simply awesome, in terms of cult status, online fanbase, value and overall practicality. The other players FZ6R and 650R, for some reason are still hanging on even though in the past SVs have outperformed both of them in magazine comparison tests.
