Ninja 250r OEM Elec Connectors
If anyone is interested you can get your Ninja 250r OEM connectors from the below website.
http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/El...onnectors.html Blinker light is the 2 position 050-HB Connector (this has been corrected, used to say "HC" prior to update) License plate light is the 2 Position .110 Connector I think the tail light is the 3 Position .110 Connector (but haven’t tried it yet). I am in the process of installing the Bike Monkey integrated tail light and Speed Tactics fender kit. One of my goals was to make any mods completely reversible and that means not cutting ANY wires. Installed the integrated tail light and it was all plug in and go. Service was quick. I’m in NZ and they arrived in 1 week. |

For my rear LED license plate light, I just used molex connectors from an old computer fan.

Yes they did fit perfectly. I'm riding an 09 but I have heard that Kawasaki have been using the same connectors for years. don't quote me on that.
They're only a few dollars each...try them out and let everyone else know how it goes :-) |

Giving this a bump.
Received my second shipment from Eastern Beaver today, after the usual 10-day wait with remarkably low shipping. Inside I discovered the exact number of connectors I ordered, in the right colors and gender combinations. However they were the wrong type. I checked for compatibility with the stock connectors to see if I could use 'em anyway; no joy. I politely e-mailed the proprietor about this immediately. Within an hour he'd gotten back to me, apologized and arranged to have the correct products shipped out ASAP. Suggested I keep what I'd gotten as I'm unlikely to find a shipping cost low enough to justify the return. Yes, they made a mistake, albeit one fairly easy to make as the connectors I got are similar but not the same. But service has been exemplary. Definitely recommend this company as your source for connectors. received instead of

Sounds like a new packer in the shop perhaps? I'm sure he'll fix things up. I've now got 7 female 050-S and 2 male connectors (had spare male ends of the 050-HC from the last order). May wind up using the 050-S pairs for another project I've got going, but I'm stymied on what to use the other 5 female connectors for... Ah well spare parts are generally good (provided you're not reassembling something).

Sweet! He is sending me my new connectors now as well, for free! I mentioned your order and he said he believed he packaged them the same day and just had a brain fart that day. It sounds like just that one guy Jim. A+ customer service!

Does anyone know which connectors Kawi uses for a brake light?
I'll be going to take a look at it and take a picture just in case I can't figure it out Jim said he'd help. |

Not sure if it's Kawi universal, but on the 250 it's definitely the .110 3-position connector the OP mentions.

Just want to post an update:
For the brakelight on a 09 it is in fact a .110 3-position connector. Just used these connectors to hook up a brake light modulator without cutting any wires. |

i just got my connectors in, the tag light is right, but based on the info in this thread I ordered the 050 HC connectors for the turn signals, and they are not the right connectors.
I think we need the NON HC ones according to the pictures on their site, so unless they've mixed up the pictures on their site the info here is wrong. I now have 4 sets of the wrong bloody connectors, and with their $20 minimum I'm going to have to order a whole bunch of stuff just to get them. |

The bike uses these:
Which are listed as the 050 2 position connector on their website. I got these: Which is listed as the 050-HC 2 position connector on their website. just looking at the filenames of the above pictures suggests that they are backwards. I should have ordered by the pics, but after seeing posts here in multiple threads saying to use the HC ones, that's what I ordered. I don't think it's Jim that messed up my order, I think he gave me exactly what I ordered. I think that either the information here is wrong, or there's some discrepancy in the images that's caused some confusion. I can't fault the guy for sending what I ordered |

I just checked all my past orders, and they were for 050-HC connectors, wihch were the larger ones (upper pic) that fit the bike. Also, the filenames for the pics I pasted in a post above (#15) reflect that relationship. Now, however, the 050-HC seems to be the smaller one (lower pic) that doesn't fit the ninjette. The same is true of the pics on Jim's site. May have to send him an e-mail asking what's up, but as you've indicated, the current correct part to order seems to be the NON HC type 050 2 position

at least i got my tag light hooked up tho, so I won't get hassled by the five-oh |

I am glad I read the whole thread! Is there a way we can put the picture up next to the information for the turn signal connector since there is some issues with naming. That way there is no confusion.

So the OP says that it is the 2 position 050-HC connector but when you go to the Easternbeaver web site the correct connector (Top picture in post 27, the larger of the two) is listed as just the plain 050 connector. Through reading it seems the notation changed so the connector to order according to the Easternbeaver website by the pictures is the 050 connector
NO HC I just want someone else to confirm this before we change the thread. |

I ordered $26 worth of turn signal (2P .050), license plate (2P .110), and brake light connectors (3P .110).
I only needed a couple connectors for new led turn signals, but James@ EasternBeaver was totally unhelpful. I fully offered to pay the higher shipping cost and asked if he could do something so I don't end up with a bunch of extra and he told me I was wasting his time. Great freaking customer service Ate the cost and bought them anyway because I need to do the install. Point is: If anyone needs connectors, ask me and I'll send the extras at cost and shipping so no one else has to buy a huge order from this guy. |

This is an INTERNATIONAL shipment of cheap parts that are hard to profit on. Not only that, you do not need to order too many extras to meet his minimum, and who couldn't use a few extras? You can't hold it against him or expect him to waste EVEN MORE time making exceptions. I'm AMAZED that he can do this as cheaply as he does. |

Buy the 2P050-HB connectors not the 2P050-HC for turn signals. Ignore the names of the image files. (2P = 2-position, for 2 wires. 050 = wire diameter)

- $20 minimum order quantity is a new policy. Think it used to be $16. - Process? It's one guy putting 4 connectors in an envelope, printing a label, and dropping it off at the post office with the other 100 orders. Very little additional time. - No profit? Let's say he makes only 10% on each connector. Two male and one female 2 Position HB050 Connectors = $5.85 One 2 Position .110 Connector Set = $2.69 Subtotal = $8.54 Assuming 10% profit on each connector: $8.54, Profit = $0.85 $20, Profit = $2.00 I would have paid $5 extra to not have to buy $20 of connectors. That would have been pure profit. $5.85 > $2.00. More money for both of us. Quote:
I don't know why you're all up on this guy like white on rice. Yes, it's nice the company provides these OEM connectors, but next time I'll just go to a kawi dealership and buy one of the mechanics a beer. Point is, a rude email response was unnecessary. $1.15 of profit is usually not worth the bad PR. |
