Im curious if the RS125's forks will work with the 250, but to be honest I think the stock forks with heavier oil and valve emulators would work fine for track use.

these bikes are from here in Indonesia, most likely from Jakarta. there are some people that go wild modding their lil ninjettes! ive heard ppl get carried away and easily spend over five grand on all their mods...

imagine collecting all the old stock 250 parts that these people have taken off their bikes to replace with mods, you could almost rebuild a whole bike, minus the frame and engine, ha ha :P

Judging by the size of the actual forks it looks like USD forks from a smaller bike than a GSXR due to the diammeter..just a guess on my part but prob from a non-US model bike.

There is one out there with a single-sided swingarm that deserves to be in here. Heck, the Ducati 999 pregen does too.

how about an oversized 200 back tire? lol

imo this guy got a little carried away, putting such a big tire on the back would surely make the bike loose a fair bit of power, and not improve handling in any way. but... as far as extreem modding, this counts as one of them

I first saw the Ducati 916 single-sided swingarm a year ago in my Kawiforums thread where everyone else seemed to notice the other mods and gloss right over that.

richierich781 noticed it someplace else and brought word to our forum a few months later.

A few MORE months later, r3d_purple posted with his own single-sided swingarm mod.

The Ducati 999 fairing w/undertail exhaust and cowl-line seat cover and Xerox race replica graphics was made by genius 15 year-old Cole Davis and posted on his family's racing team web space. He also created and posted up a turbo'd dragbike 250. Yes, Nitrous Oxide, NOS, in a 250.

Yup. Popular mod but it's really just a tip for open headers/pipes. The GSX-R had the cats and baffles underneath and all that gets chopped off to make it fit the 250R. It looks cool, but your neighbors will hate you!

let me find the facebook user and send him a message to ask if he could send some info about how they built up the under-tail~ i think the guy is a modder, so he might not divulge many details, but it wont hurt to ask

here are some other pictuers from his collection of modded bikes~

a single swing-arm plus under tail exhaust

wayanlam, can you give me the name of the guy who did those undertail mods? A username or whatever is fine. I'm just trying to fill out as much info as I can about those bikes.

can i ask what all that means in noobie language? lol

i'm most likely picking up a ninja 250 this week and dont like the exhaust very much... but i've always liked the sound of a gsxr... is it cheaper or the same as say getting a yosh exhaust?

sorry if thats a really stupid question!

It's going to be cheaper of course. It will however NOT make your bike sound like a GSXR. A parallel twin will never have the sound of an inline-4. What he's saying is the way the GSXR can is attached is it's really just a cosmetic piece with no functionality. You're pretty much running an open header (which is really loud).

Yup. It's not all inline-4 vs. parallel twin eaither. The full GSX-R exhaust is a "muffler" in every sense of the word with "cats" (catalytic converters to burn any unburned fuel by getting really hot) and enough baffling to meet federal noise regulations. On a real GSX-R, all that was hidden in a big bulky part under the bike with this part being used only on the tip. This mod, on the other hand, chops all the "muffler" parts off and fits only the tip onto the Ninja 250's pipe, meaning it's the same sound as just taking your muffler off completely and driving around (EXTREMELY loud).

Loud is what some people want though. *shrug*

oh! ok, well i dont even know what i really want out of a mod yet at all... i just know that eventually i'm going to want to get rid of the stock exhaust, especially if i get the 09!

so if you are doing it for the little bit of extra power you'd get the yosh?

If you want all the power out of an exhaust you can get, get a full system. Most people would recommend AreaP.

Do they all have to be pictures? Why not add the Indonesian streetfighter with the custom fairings, headlight, and dual (mirrored) front brakes? The video embeds just as well. Even if you're just aiming to make a photobucket album, you can take snapshots from the video.
