mirror stem repair

Hi all. So I have had my 09 250 for 2 days and while I was at my wifes baby shower it began to rain back home where my bike was parked. My brother with the intention of moving my bike out of the rain into the garage dropped her on her right side and broke the mirrior stem about midway down. I know I will need to replace but will Gorilla glue hold it in place long enough to get it to the shop (approx 40 miles)? Thanks for the advice.

i doubt it... its cast aluminum, you could weld it?... or just leave it off until you get a replacement. it's not like you need mirrors or something (you can turn your head right?)

Mine must be aftermarket because it is plastic. I can turn my head fine and make sure I always do but the law here in georgia frowns on those of us with no mirrors trying to avoid a ticket. Holding it on with alabama chrome (duct tape) for now going in the am to get a new one lol

if you have one rear mirror, you're legal in your state.
