Ace Cafe

The new Ace Café in Orlando, Fl. is having their grand opening this weekend. Seems like a good time however; I'm going to the "Ride into History" instead.

Hope they do well with it, and I hope they do it right.

I'm a bit skeptical, however. History has shown again and again that you can't manufacture cool. You have to earn it.

The original Ace Cafe was cool because it became a destination for a certain kind of rider. It didn't aim to be that way through marketing.

It's in Orlando! Home of Disney World, Universal, etc., etc. It's going to be as plastic as everything else there. You go, buy the t-shirt and never go back. That's why I'm going to "Ride into History". They have better t-shirts.
