RainX on the visor
hey guys,
I did some searching and got conflicting reports so I thought I'd check. Rode today in the rain and while it wasn't too bad obviously better visibility will always be a plus. I was considering trying something like RainX on my visor, but I've heard some reports it causes some fogging/smudging issues. Can anyone confirm/deny? Is there a better product maybe? If it matters, my shields are a clear and a smoke for my Schuberth C3. |

Rain-X is for glass, so I'm sure there would be some smudging issues. I can't say for myself as I've never used it on my visor, but if you did want to try it, maybe just apply, go for a ride in the rain (a quick ride would suffice) and see how it works. If you don't end up liking it, Windex it gone!

Rain-x won't work and may or may not eat the plastic. This is made for plastic and seems to work like rain-x does for glass.

This works to some extent. When riding in slower traffic and youre behind a car misting up water from the tires it tends to stick to the visor and turning your head doesnt do much. I am looking for a solution as well since today my visor was a magnet for water.

DONT USE RAIN X!!!
I got same conflicting reports but after reading all the instructions i figured it SHOULD be ok. I used it on an old helmet before putting it on any of my good helmets & the visor is useless now,foggy,smokey.....F....d Rainy season here i keep a sponge with some dish washing soap above the gauge cluster, works well. |
