My other baby :(
I was leaving work, went down the street and a dump truck went into my lane and was slowing down and I went into the right lane to get around him and when I was passing him he went back into the right lane and swiped my car. I almost grabbed my bike this morning and IDK what the outcome would have been! I am so grateful I took the car today and not my bike!
This is what hit me! |

bummer! that's not a cheap car to fix. Don't let them take it to some crappy place to get the body work done. You don't have to go to the cheapest place around. Get some quotes on your own, push for a nice coachworks place that does high end cars.
always be cautious when "passing" anything on the right. It's actually illegal in a lot of places. Construction trucks especially, they make unexpected maneuvers and need to take wide right turns. |

You're what I call a decently responsible person. You have no idea how many people I met at university who were driving around expensive cars that their parents bought new a "gave" to them.

I'll have enough money saved up by the end of the year to pay them back in full. I want them to spend that money on themselves and have some fun with it!

I didn't see any damage to the truck. Is the truck driver pressing charges from you hitting him?

I got a call from the police today and they said that this was such weird accident. And that they can't find one specific person at fault. So they closed the police report as no fault on either parties. So now our insurances will have to see who is more at fault.
There was no damage at all to the truck. |

If you had been in the bike you probably would have been able to avoid the accident.

I'm glad you're alright. I had a similar experience earlier this year. I had to decided to drive my car instead of my bike. I was sitting at a red light when someone plows into my rear (lol).
