Installed the ZeroGravity Sport Touring Windscreen in Light Smoke... hope to test it out today in the 50degree weather this afternoon...

Moderately easy install; needed to replace the 4 well nuts. The lower 2 were a little trouble but I managed to do it without removing the headlight cowl. I'd ordered a set of black machine screws but the lower two need to be longer then the upper two so had to use the original stainless screws.

Sooooo, after I did all this, someone overnight, dropped my bike. Broke the clear plastic off of the newly installed turn signal and broke my right rearset and bent the f*** out of my right handlebar as well.

Here goes another $100+ in buying some parts again.

M,
There are other options;....
  • Train, plane, bus ticket to someplace warm where they rent bikes.
  • Or find a simpathetic Ninjette Owner in a warmer clime and show up begging (drooling )for a ride. (I'm sure there are some out there...)
Course, you can just hunker down in the "frozen north" and;
  • cry in your beer.
  • while away hours on the web
  • just grin and bear it

**Sigh** Don't drink, computer gets on me nerves after a while (bit of Newfinese for ya!), grin and bear it...yeah I guess, but what really helps is Ski-dooing I'd like to store the bike one day and take out the ski-doo the next..never happens tho, we always end up with a month or two of rain, drizzle, fog and gale force winds of the atlantic before we get any snow. Excuse me, gotta go do my snow dance

Installed a shock that @cuz sent me. Thank you!

Related question: The higher the shock peak/adjustment is, the stronger the shock right? Or is it the other way around?

Also for some reason @cuz the shock was twisted in its housing when I got it. I easily fixed it myself but any reason why it was like that?

Been lucky here so far. Nice ride tonight at 4c, put all my layers in and stayed toasty but for hands and feet, brrr...A*s are chilly at speed. Getting the heated grips next week.
Put stabilizer in today and am thinking of changing to a winter oil.

Nah, it takes two liters, it's just that sometimes it might not have all drained out, so you start with 1.5 liters and keep adding until it has the right amount.

Practiced slow-speed maneuvers, quick stops, U-turns and tight circles. I admit I haven't practiced since I got my 250 about a year ago and I felt a lot more comfortable after doing those exercises. Trusting your brakes, tires and bike as a whole really helped me be smooth.

Your mixture is well controlled with the FI, but it doesn't have O2 sensors and cannot adjust to changes in the intake/exhaust. Adding more air just means you're leaning it everywhere.
The 300 doesn't have an O2 sensor

Moved it from behind my car to get my car out because they snuggle in one spot.

Apparently the montero has finally decided that it will take no more of this 6-10 year old battery bullshit, though, so I didn't end up having to move the bike anyhow.

Oh well. Now they're spooning.

Rode around town doing errands. I've been having a riding bug lately. Been toying with acceleration more (I'm a boring driver/rider normally) and focusing more on my cornering.
It's different with a backpack full of groceries, though. xP

Also got home and I got a letter form progressive saying that I was not at fault for my accident this summer. Woo! $250 deductible turning into a new tire, sprocket and maintenance.

Changed the oil and filter.

Was 70 degrees and sunny out. Went on a nice group ride with some folks I met this past weekend. I was the only Japanese bike. The other folks were on Italian bikes: Aprilia DORSODURO 750, Aprilia Tuono, and a 07 MV Agusta F4 1000R. All those bikes looked and sounded amazing! Can't wait to have the money to get an Italian bike someday.

After 5 hours my baby is finally coming home!!! We did so much to him! We did a (hotbodies) fender eliminator, new integrated tail light, LED turn signals, new reflectors, new head lights, new (danmoto) exhaust, and a bunch of cleaning. He sounds SO good!!! And he's completely legal!

Maintenance stuff, a couple weeks ago we did an oil change, new brakes, brake fluid, flushed the radiator, cleaned, waxed and adjusted the chain, got all the rust and corrosion off, repainted the mirrors, changed the air filter and spark plugs. It's like he's brand new!

The last pic is of the guy (one of my husbands soldier buddies) that helps us with all of this.
