Aftermarket chain guard/swingarm cover

Hey all,

Is there an aftermarket chain guard/swingarm cover that is made for the new-gen 250's? I would buy a rear hugger but my rear tire is too big to fit anything that is available for the 250. Is there perhaps a rear hugger from a larger bike that I can modify to fit my little 250? I just think that swingarm is kinda dinky hahaha.

The Sportisi hugger and chain cover are two separate pieces that bolt together. You could get one and leave the hugger off.

It looks like the new Shinto rear hugger fits tire sizes 130-150, no idea how large your rear tire is tho. You can try contacting Vince (Wants1sobad) about them... lol seems he already responded here

Also many people have Scott's rear hugger. I remember someone saying he was developing one that is for a larger wheel, maybe try contacting him. Here is the thread:

Wow I have never seen a 170 on a ninjette before. Did you have to change out the swing arm? Can you post some pics as well?

Hahaha yea I did work on the swing arm as well as getting some stuff fabricated from a 650r wheel to fit the 17mm axle on the 250. As well as getting a longer axle and junk.....I just mounted the wheel yesterday but the bike is still in pieces as I am doing ALOT to her right now....I'll post some pics when I get it back together.

Scott's hugger, even if it can be made to fit, does nothing but draw more attention to the wimpy swingarm.

Yea right now I'm talking to Matt at sportisi...he said that he doesn't sell the chain guard and hugger separate but he has a chain guard that is slightly damaged that I could use. Then I would pick up a zx-6 hugger that I think will fit and mod the mounting....that should work.

Here is a GB thread although I think the time limit is up. Matt (ztrack157) in that thread is the source for them.
