Engagement ring

Seeing how I will no longer be needing it I need to get rid of it. I had it custom made by Elsa Rings in New York. 14k WG setting with a .79 carat Princess cut VVS2 Color L diamond very good symmetry with and excellent polish. I have the GIA certification for the stone. This ring would cost someone over $2200 to have made. I want it gone so $1900 obo. Horrible picture I need a new camera. Oh and its a size 8.

From watching Judge Judy for countless hours (before we had kids) the ring is a form of a contract, if you didn't get married you are entitled to the ring back

My marriage was headed that way last summer when I picked up the bike....I think that the winter months are calming her down...she seems to not mind the bike talk with her friends anymore, but we'll see if she still expects me to sell it in the spring (no going to happen).

Matt, this is something that is best not rushed into. I have a friend who was engaged 3 times before he finaly got married. I just held out for the right girl. You could always keep the ring and put the diamond into something else.....or wait till next time and hope the next one has the same taste in rings....because there has never been a show where someone has gotten in trouble for giving a second hand engagement ring

wow...this is weird but my marriage is heading the wrong direction, but not cuz of the bike, cuz after talking to my wife we came to an agreement that i can get a bike...and so i did...literlly next day, lol. We're all screwed, women...cant live without them, cant kill them......

This is bad becuase this is a for sale thread but it seems like everyone else who has had it happen to them has posted so why not. I was pretty much brain washed by my ex and she cheated on me the whole time we where together. She was in a college town for a MRS degree and when i told her that i needed more time, she jetted. Sticking me with a $700 dress bill and taking the engagement ring and selling it to pay for her new apartment without even asking me if i wanted it back, what a b/t(#. anyways, i wish i was like you and got over it quick, i dwelled on it for a while, gained weight, got depressed, made up stories in my head why she did it and all that. But in the end she was just a hoe and that was all there is too it. I am not ashamed to tell anyone this because i am a firm believer of not doing it unless you are 100% ready and sure that it is what you want. i do not believe in divorce and i would have a hard time doing it if it came down to it. ztrack, like everyone says, its probably for the better and that seems to be the way you are taking it. GL on the sale and hope everything ends good for you in the end.

Some of the best advice i got was from my mom, she said, think of a relationship as a math problem. a person with all of there business in order, physically, emotionally, financially, etc. = 1, someone without this in order is =/= 1. It takes 2 to make a couple, not 1.5, or anything < 2. So for the relationship to work out you have to be two whole people (both = 1) to make the relationship work (1+1=2). See math does solve alot of lifes problems.

sorry about your ex. good luck with the sale. but like some others have said, i would try returning it first. if they say no, then i would try to sell it.

about 13 years ago, i bought a $9000 diamond and the store gave me the setting for free.

i proposed to my gf of 6 years. she turned me down. we broke up. the shop just charged me $250 to unmount the diamond and setting, but otherwise gave me a full refund.

Come out and do a track day or two and see how you feel. I teach the New Racer School as well. If you take the school on your 250 you will most likely get me as your instructor.
