@RaceTech Electric I do have one suggestion/constructive criticism. The piece that holds the water temperature sensor. Why not make it a 45 degree angle piece instead of a straight piece. It'll be a lot easier to install because it will be bent the same direction the hose already wants to go because of the radiator. It'll require you to cut a little bit more out of the hose but fitment will be a lot better and it'll be more streamlined.

so i thought i adjusted the speedo right at 722 2P lol then i realized it needed to be 714 6P. It still seems off tho. Seems like i'm going faster than the speedo reads. I don't have a gps to go off of tho so i'm hoping someone else can help me out here. I have a BT45 in the front. Same size as stock tire but i do know that the BT45's are a tad thicker than the stock tires. So that would mean the circumference would be higher making the speed read slower than it really is. Correct or am i wrong in my logic?

Pop into the app store and find a HUD or speedometer app. Google/Apple maps won't show it but the data is there.

It's not as 100 percent accurate as a regular GPS but it will be close enough.

Lol, I instantly regret my decision not buying in on this lol. Guess i'll start setting money aside till the next group by happens. Next time I'll have a stable shipping address I hope :P Then I also justify it by saying well my wife will probably never upgrade from a 250 so when I do she can have the cluster :P

Welp, set my tire to 722 2P. Rode for a half mile in a 40 zone going 120MPH! Wheeee

Changed it to 714 6P and the speedo is within rounding distance of my DeLorme GPS speed (i.e. GPS reads 49.6, speedo reads 50). I have Pirelli Rosso II 110/70 on the front with <300 miles on them.

Is anyone else's 100 ohm fuel setting giving you goofy displays? I was riding home and the 30% warning started flashing. Not knowing exactly how accurate it was, I filled up. Only put in 2.5 gallons, so reset the trip and headed off. Not a quarter mile later the display was down to half a tank.

Going to try out the 510 setting to see what it does, but it this just basically a case of ignore the display in favor of the odometer?

No no no 510 won't work

Just leave it and get used to it. There's a learning curve and a level of trust you have to develop with it. It will almost never read 100%, I normally get 80% after fill up. And I always take it down to the last bar, then when I no longer get the last bar to relight on a flat strait I no I have 30 miles left in my tank since the last time I saw the 10% bar.

95% of the time I fill up my gauge shows no bars. I will admit it took me a couple weeks and a 1000 mile trip to LA and back to trust it. I will say that it can jump around a bit with hard braking and riding so keep it steady for a quarter mile on flat ground to get your correct reading. It will sometime read low in cold weather for some reason and although rare it will normally clear up if you turn the bike off then on again.

I've got nearly 2 years and 28,000 miles on my Koso and I love my fuel gauge. And just about every other feature it has as well

Thanks @rojoracing53, that's what I was looking for. I'll change it back to 100.

I plan on making up for the low riding this last month, so will definitely pay attention to bars verses mileage to get a proper feel for what is being displayed and what is in the tank. I have no reason to believe my unit is faulty or anything so I'll run the tank down driving around town and see where I am when it reads empty.

Thanks!!

(hey, just curious, any way to dim the light level from the display?)

Not that I'm aware of but if you go with blue its dark enough to not bother me. I've honestly used every color except purple because it threatens my manhood

If you wheel is calibrated correctly then use both milage and gauge. If my gauge reads a bit funny but I've only gone 190 miles with normal riding ill push it father and sometime the last bar with light up one last time at a stop light. I almost always put in about 4.1-4.3gals of fuel in my bike.

I picked the green to start with and was looking at the red for night riding, but that red is bright! Not sure how much it'd save my night vision so I stuck with green last night. I'll run through them all and find the best one.

Yeah, that is a rather pastel purple, isn't it?

I think I have my wheel set right, I used Koso's recommendation in the PnP kit and it is close enough to my GPS for my liking. I've been keeping track of my mileage since I got the bike last year so I know my range with normal riding. Now to compare it to what the gauge is telling me. Glad you mentioned your fill-ups show 80% as that was what I got last night and was the first sign something was different.

Yeah, 30% seems to mean a half tank (least that's what I've been getting). What do you have your redline at? I went with the 13K which matched the stock graphic.

Probably 13k but I never look at it so its hard to say. I've always seen shift lights and retarded gimmicks anyways.

Oh it's a shift light? Thought it was a redline warning. Oops. My chin bar on the helmet blocks it so I never seen it anyway.

I don't know lol because it turns yellow when its close to redline but the number its set for is when the light turns red. So i guess you could set it for either way that you like depending on how you ride. Can't really see it all that well in the sun anyways.

The clock is only 24hr to my knowledge. 1300=1pm, 1800=6pm, 23:59=11:59pm

Not idea on the signals though. :-/

Yeah the clock is only 24 hour/military time based. No 12 hour function which pisses me off. I'll figure out a way to possibly mount another clock somewhere because that's how much I hate 24 hour clocks
