Replacing Center stand with kick stand?
Hello,
I'm looking to replace the center stand with a kick stand in order to be able to run an 08 engine in an 04 bike. With the generation difference, I won't be able to run the exhaust without it running into the center stand. Is this a common mod? |

Could anyone let me know what the kickstand bolt part number is?
Size, thread pitch, etc.

Are these hardwares something you want OEM or would this just be something to pick up at Autozone? Looks like I need 10x25 bolts for the kickstand, and 8mm nuts for the exhaust manifold.

The kickstand bolt & nut are specialty items and not a simple bolt & nut. I suppose you could go haywire and use a regular bolt but it would be extremely sloppy. They aren't a mortgage payment so I'd definitely go OEM if it were my money.

I have no idea.
Basically, it was only bought because the owner's kid wrecked his 2009 250R. They swapped over the engine out of the newer bike. That's why I need a mix of both gen fasteners.
