Weird noise after ride, 07 ninja
Twice now after I got back from a ride my Ninja was making a weird noise. It almost sounding like a hissing or releasing of air, and it seemed to be coming from someplace in front of the gas tank. I'm not super savvy with this bike yet and the sound lasted for only about 20 seconds before it abruptly clicked off. I took a video of it and the sound is audible as is the click at the end. I'd really appreciate it if I could send the video to some of you as I'm sure the people of this forum know a heck of a lot more than I do. Please PM me your email address if you want to take a quick watch, the video is only about 30 seconds.

Sometimes the radiator fan may run for a short period after the bike is shut off, especially if the radiator is hot. Also, if the radiator temp is hot enough, you may hear the thermostat release some pressure.

Open the gas tank lid and it'll disappear. You're lucky it's a 'hiss'. My '07 250 sounded like a dying cow.

Ninja 650Rs also make the dying cow gas tank sound.
