POD filter, rejet, carb sync... lots of vibration now?
I've had a tough time googling this; basically I rejetted after installing K&N pod filter; bike runs great, front end gets light when I whack the throttle open in the midrange (didn't used to do that!!) and I gained a few mph on the top end... anyways, I've noticed that I can feel the intake howl through the handlebars. I compared to my other bikes (kz1000, klr650) and I don't get a similar feeling, but it's a different bike. The carbs are perfectly synchronized and I'm getting the wacky additional vibration. It doesn't feel "bad", but I just want to run it past the collective here. Not super familiar with the ex250 yet... Thoughts?

I used a factory pro jet kit, needle in the third position, 112 main jet, 40 pilot jet. Still need to do some tuning on the idle mixture (i dropped my shorty screwdriver at some point - argh!) but it starts with 20% choke, can turn the choke off immediately, and the bike can get rolling without me touching the throttle, or with a handful of full throttle; nice and responsive. |

I'm going to re-balance, but I think this time I'll use alcohol instead of oil for the greater sensitivity. Oil got me into the neighborhood of correct, alcohol for fine-tuning.
