Considering how few it seems have been sold, I'm sure that they are manufactured to order.

Really? I'm suprised to hear that. Mine fit perfect. Maybe they had a bad batch or something, but I've had mine for about 2 years now.

Mine was about 1/4" short on the one side so it didnt line up with the OEM painted surround (dunno what it's called) I will be replacing it with a ZG

I was very pleased with ZG. It was a perfect fit and took no time at all to install.

This site has cost me more and more money. Right when I think I am satisfied with the bike, I see some thread that convinces me that I "need" something else.

Between this thread, the older MRA thread and even the newer OEM Kawi windshield thread (the side-by-side pic actually sold me on it finally), I have managed to convince myself that I "need" this double bubble. I love the look of the MRA and while I hardly ever/never do any highway riding, I like the idea of having a windshield that actually works.

Thanks a bunch guys and gals for posting all those awesome pics so I can convince myself to get a new windshield. Now to head over to Scott's rear hugger thread to convince myself that I "need" that as well.

See, now I went ahead and ordered from Twisted Throttle and their estimate is about 4 weeks (which is what I expected). I would have preferred the Kawi OEM double bubble that you were able to find, but I didn't think it was available. Any idea if twiggcycles has any more of them?

I definitely wanted a smoked one and that is luckily what they have at Twisted Throttle. I can be patient for a few weeks. No hurry. Thanks for the link and the info though.

My MRA windshield that i ordered back in March was supposed to have shipped from twistedthrottle yesterday, so I sent an email asking for an update today. I got an instant response telling me that twistedthrottle was informed that the supplier in Germany delayed shipment until May 13th.

My windshield was supposed to ship from Twistedthrottle on Thursday after nearly a month of patiently waiting, they knew the shipment was delayed as of this past Monday, today is Friday, why am I only hearing about this after I take the initiative and ask and a full 5 days after they knew it was delayed? I am not happy about this.

That looks great, and you're really making me want to get mine sooner, but I really wanted the smoked double bubble windshield. Apparently you can only get the smoked OEM windshield in the UK.

Evil...

I am sure it will be well worth the wait. The pics on the other thread are what sold me on this vs. the Puig or ZG and based on what I am seeing here, that was a very good decision.

Evil though...

My MRA windshield is currently sitting in the UPS distribution center for delivery on Monday. I love that I am getting it a week early (or two weeks late depending on how you look at it), but I hate that it is so close and I am forced to wait until Monday.

Pics coming ASAP.

I ordered mine from twistedthrottle.com. They had to in turn order it directly from MRA in Germany, so it has taken awhile. I did notice that they increased the price a little since I ordered it back in late March, but it definitely has the look I want for my bike. I think it flows perfectly with the lines of the bike and from what others have said, drastically improves the airflow. I can't wait to install it on Monday.

I got my MRA windshield today from TwistedThrottle.com. It should have been easy to install as you really only remove 4 screws and switch the windshields, but somehow one of the rubber grommets inside the nose of the bike tore almost in half at the threads and didn't want to take the screw. I ended up partially dismantling the nose to get to the one grommet and eventually did get the screw to feed properly, it just took some doing. Now everything is properly installed and secure. Once I got the screws to align, the hardest part was putting the rubber trim over the upper edge of the windshield.

Overall I really like the look of the new windshield. I got the "Smoke Grey" version and while I like it now, I think I might have actually preferred the darker "Shadow Line Black".

After the install I did take the bike to work, which is a 20 minute commute each way, and really it is hard for me to tell the difference. I tend to ride primarily more upright in the seat and I do think that there is less wind blast, but today was unusually windy so I think a couple more rides and I should be able to get a proper impression of the changes. I tried to tuck in a couple of times just to see what differences I could tell and I did notice less wind noise in that position. I think I am going to like the changes and the ride should be more comfortable from now on.

As for the customer service, TwistedThrottle did a good job with the windshield. I knew that they had to custom order it directly from MRA and that there would be a wait (there actually ended up being a further delay on MRA's end that added an additional week and a half), but overall I am satisfied with their service. TwistedThrottle has raised the price on this windshield by $10.05 since I ordered it back in late March, but now the price seems to merely be in line with double bubble windshields from Zero Gravity and Puig.

Overall I think I am going to like the MRA windshield quite a bit more than the OEM windshield. It looks significantly better on the bike and even looks like much higher quality when I am sitting in the cockpit as it were. I can't really quite recommend it yet because I haven't gotten a fair impression, but I do think it was a good purchase.

Here are a few pics. If anyone wants to see anything from a specific angle, let me know and I will do what I can to accomodate you. Please do try to ignore the big ugly guy on the bike, his girlfriend wanted to take some pics .
