2008 Ninja 250R for sale - SF Bay Area - ***SOLD***

Hi all -

Annie's 2008 ninjette is for sale. The bike is in perfect condition cosmetically and mechanically, and unlike most 250's, has made it this far in life without ever laying on its side for any reason. We love the bike, but are going to love the new Ninja 300 even more, so this has to go. Sale price: $2,900. The bike is located in the south bay. Here are the details:

- 10,871 miles
- Clean title in hand
- Dealer-serviced with all paperwork available (7,500 service most recent)
- Extended warranty still in place through March 2013
- California registration good through March 2013
- Bright Red
- Pirelli Sport Demon tires front/rear with 1,000 miles on them
- Will throw in an unmounted pair of new/unused Pirelli Sport Demons for $100
- digital clock/thermometer attached to top of dash (easily removable)
- electronic rear brake-light flasher
- Kawasaki rear seat cowl, will also provide pillion seat
- spools mounted on swingarm for easy lifting
- Test rides only available with full asking price in hand

Many more pics online of this bike:

My god. That is a screamin deal. If I had the money, I would definitely entertain this. Already forwarded it on to a few friends

GLWS.

Everyone, please take Alex's good sale thread as an example of what you should do when you sell your bike.

Pictures of the actual bike for sale, not the spec pictures.
Info about the bike, the bike's history, etc.
Info about the terms of sale.
Contact info that is clear, not a phone number that's half numbers and half words.

and finally, a fair price that is neither a rip-off for the buyer, or a massive loss for the sellar.

Kudos Alex. Congrats on the sale, and congrats on the new wheels yo!!

The half number/half words phone number is to stop web spiders from grabbing your phone number, then sending you all kinds of spam (texts/calls). No thanks on posting a 100% numerical phone #.

Sure, but it's ineffective. The web-spiders looking for phone numbers figured out those silly translations years ago. If you post a phone number in public, in any format, expect that it will be known to the public & automated spiders in short order.

I find it easier to just have people contact me locally on whatever board I'm advertising on. PM's work great, then you know where the lead came from. On craigslist I don't put my phone number either, and only have people contact via the internal craigslist anonymous email. That means that they need to provide me their contact information, and from there I can choose to get in touch if I would like to.

Yeah, I have never really understood why someone would attempt to mask their phone number instead of using the original. Unless they're a brilliant computer scientist, someone has already broken their code.

I am unsure about the whole web-spiders program, and what is effective at searching. If you were really intent of posting a phone number, could you upload a image file containing the number?

Those are stock, I never replaced them. But it looks like there are a couple sources for them in this thread:

Letting the spiders and bots have a seemingly valid number and polluting their database helps. In an embedded image, explain that the number following the area code is backwards. Seems to work for me.
