Michelin Power RS Tires

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a new ninja 300 and I wanted to change the stock tire to the Michelin Power RS tires. However when trying to purchase the Power RS tires I noticed the back tire is not available and/or is not made in the stock rear tire size. Is it safe to get a different size? If so which one would I get? Also Why that tire over another size?

Stock Size:
Front Tire: 110/70-17
Back Tire: 140/70-17

Power RS Size:
Front Tire available 110/70-17

Rear Tire (which one?):
150/60ZR17 66W
160/60ZR17 69W
180/55ZR17 73W
180/60ZR17 75W
190/50ZR17 73W

Thanks for all your help

Get the 150, anything else would be way too large for that rim

Thx for your input, is there any negative consequences of not exactly matching the stock back tire size?

The bigger you go the more pinched in the tire will be, so it will not be an ideal profile. This means you might not get all the way to the edge of the tire even under hard cornering. I use a 150 on my 300 track bike, and I have about 1mm or 1/16th of an inch of unused tread on the edge of the tire.

You can use the 150 and will be fine , just don't go any larger.

Here is an article about using different sizes on the same rim
