Diode Mod.
I have heard a few people talking about a diode mod that can be done. I am not sure what it improves or how to do it. If someone can help me out with that it would be great.
Thanks, Joe |

it's to allow for use of LED bulbs in turn signals. According to a friend of mine (he's an engineer) he said that the way our blinkers are wired up its using the side that's not flashing for ground. since LED's don't have as much resistance, if you put LED bulbs in all the way around, you'll get 4 way flashers instead of signal lights. the diode mode fixes that. it keeps the current from backflowing to the side you don't want flashing and adds a ground behind the cluster.
the post here has pictures that helped to explain it for me. http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showp...91&postcount=6 you don't need anything fancy for diodes either, should be able to pick them up at radio shack. |

Whats the best ground to use or do I just pick one? Right now I'm running LEDs, but I took out my indicator bulb so to get rid of the four-way flashing. Went for a ride today, and it was really annoying not having an indicator.

Use the ground (black or black w/yellow stripe) for the dash illum. bulb right next to the turn ind. bulb. A scotchlock connector works great for tapping into it.
