Difference between sunbeam and passion red???
Ok is there a difference between passion red (08) and sunbeam red (09)?

Thank you kindly! Well I have an 09 and need a seat cowl, I found one cheap but it came off an 08, will there be a nocitable difference?

I think the reds are slightly different. Haven't seen them right next to eachother to see exactly how different.

Not sure about the reds, but my '08 blue cowl definitely looks mismatched on my buddy's '10 blue. I wouldn't assume the colors match.

Your best bet would be to find someone with an '08 and park you bike next to theirs to see the diff. You could always buy the cowl and if you don't like it you can either sell it or buy ColorRite paint to match your bike.

Go to the ColorRite site and input the two model years to see if they give you the same or different p/n's for the paint. It will also show an example of the color which you may be able to use to compare the difference if any.

Yea if I get the chance I prolly will just get it and if it's a lil off oh well, I plan to paint most of it white with a number plate. We'll see

Yup theyre different and with the cowl on the bike you will be able to tell a difference

Now i dunno about a 2008 red bike, but mines a 2009 (sunbeam) and in the highnoon sunny days, i swear my bike has a slight 'orange' tint to it... in certain angles!

The '09 red has a slight variation on the mix which is orange. The '08 red is a darker leaning toward a redder hue. Putting an 08 cowl on the 09 will definately be noticeable. Frankly I prefer the 09 red.

I really appreciate everyones input, thanks to you all I decided to pass on it and wait for an 09 cowl and save some headache, although the whole bike will be white eventually so who knows. Does anyone have any opinions on that, all that is red painted white (except for the gas tank, it'll most likely be black)
