Power Commander for FI version?

Hi guys.. sorry I dont have a clear cut answer and I've tried some searching to no luck.

I just got the Ninja250 FI version and I'm looking into modding it..

I plan on removing the snorkel and putting on a full Yoshimura exhaust on it. This in return will increase the amount of air intake, normally meaning it'll run leaner.

But I believe FI can automatically adjust air/fuel ratios correct? So is it necessary I get myself a Power Commander or should I be ok as is?

Thanks!

If going to a full system you may want to look at what the LeoVince ECU for FI Ninjas has to offer. These units are installed on the 250 Ninjas for The WSBK European Junior Cup.

You're right in everything that you've stated, except that the FI is not able to adjust that much automatically. You'll need a PC or similar piggyback ecu

PCV

Chone is right, the stock FI can't adjust enough. The power commander is the best solution, in my opinion. Model number 17-035 should be the correct model for newer versions of the Ninja 250R. The PCV includes a base map for a stock setup and a map for a full exhaust upgrade. (I think it may be the Yoshimura, but don't remember.) You may need to find a map appropriate for your setup. Or you can install the auto-tuner if you have a bung for the oxygen sensor on your exhaust.

Whichever you do, be sure to keep us informed about the map you use.
