Lol they called me back in. I'll go back down there again tomorrow hahaha.
They're caving. That 750 has been sitting there since lord knows when the 2011 came out. It has dust on it. They're dying to sell it to me. They're smart too, because I will actually pay for it just like with the ninja 250. Even if I do crash it, which I won't. I'll see what they say tomorrow. I doubt they let me out the door with that thing but hell if I don't keep trying and they keep calling me back in. This has been the second most up and down week in my life. In pain in the hospital one day blind, being approved for a gsxr the next, being declined the next and being called back down for what I have another. WTF will happen next? All I know is if I get it I will be afraid to ride it.. by the prices they are talking. $$$$$ It's gonna sit in the back room until it's paid for. lol It's sooooo beautifuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul. I'm in trance every time I see it. I almost can't look at it anymore. I don't think I have ever wanted anything that bad in my life. I have wanted a spankin' new 750 since 2004 at least. The guys at Suzuki are smoking the best stuff there is. I rode my ninjette up idyllwild today after a second day in negotiations with financing for the GSXR. I pictured myself on the GSXR and all the sudden I started going about 15mph. lol. I will never let anything happen to it in a million years. No way in hell.

Uhmm...if you're only gonna go 15 mph on the GSX-R, then what the hell is the point?

oh boy here we goes.
Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel. I'll go fast on it when it's paid for. I have the ninja for playing right now. Plus Quote:
I've wanted it for years and I'll be protecting it like flies on dog doo. I learned a lot about protecting a bike you are paying for with the ninja. Mainly, don't do it like that. lol No racing, no canyons, no wheelies, no oil slicks, no rocks in the road, no ladies no jerks no fingers no nothing. Avoid everything at all costs and get home like everyone wants you dead meat on the double. Complete utter defensive driving. I did it on the last GSXR. =) But that one was paid for so I took it to industrial buildings and did some wheelies like my avatar and a time or two to mullholland for some dragging pictures by rockstore.

Heck, man, it's your money. If you enjoy paying that much for something that was designed to be ridden, and all you want to do is look at it, then more power to you.
Good luck with the bike.

If you can't read and that's the way you see it then OK.
I'm not being so literal on the 15mph thing. I was just cornering on my ninja thinking I would probably go slower on a brand new GSXR that I wanted for so many years... buying all these used beat up ones and all. It won't be a bike for playing around with at first and this is the only way I can purchase a bike of this caliber in this condition at this time. By being responsible. I have another bike I can be a total stooge with. The GSXR (if I even get one) will be ridden like crazy when the time is right. Nobody ever said I'm going to sit there staring at it forever. I will probably be caught worshiping it though as I do think it's the coolest vehicle man ever made. I'd hate to see it get a scratch on it.

Healing up nicely!
No pain my brother! Feeling good. A bit odd and scratchy but no pain and the light sensitivity has gone! Doc says I should just about be healed up by now. I am supposed to stop adding the eye drop prescription tonight. Lets get a new bike home to oogle at while we pay her off and make some ninja gauges and do some stunts shall we? Trying to keep high spirits. =)

I did the same when I started to ride the fazer. I even went so far as to mod the throttle cable my first few months on it to keep my from going WOT and getting I to trouble and the fz6 is 30-40 hp lower then a gixxer 750.
Honestly the best part is you made mistakes with other bikes learned from It and are now applying that knowledge to keep from repeating it. I also want to say thanks, some of your riding knowledge saved my effing ass this morning on the way to work. There was a stray traffic cone on the freeway with the bottom side up, with it being dark I didn't see it until the last min, I swerved but it hit my foot and shifter(bent it) causing my front end to start to wobble really really bad, I had a serious tank slapper on my hands, I was about to do the worse thing you could and fight to get it back, I uickly remembered our conversation on this at Adrians house and let the bars go, it corrected itself and I was able to keep going. A Hurt foot and bent shifter is all that came of it, which is much better then going down on the 110 at 75 mph! |

Thank goodness man!
I can't take anymore crash scene input. Glad you are OK. That's another thing about these "serious bikes". The rake will buck you in a heartbeat if you can't ride it. Have to be ready and know what to do in ever situation, and do it like second nature, or the ground is coming! A tank slapper is a serious thing to have to deal with at speed. No joke, that's for sure. I'm very glad I was able to learn from it when it happened to me before it killed me at 90mph on the freeway myself. Of course I was playing around again while doing a type of riding I knew not how to do when that happened. On my first GSXR.. the 99 SRAD. Racing other bikes on the freeway with LOCKED arms because it was my first time racing anyone on any bike and I was freaked out leaned over (before I could lean) doing 90 on a bumpy freeway. Bike did a CRAZY gyration like you wouldn't believe. I shot across all four lanes of traffic uncontrollably. If I didn't let go, it would have killed me for sure. Bars were going back and fourth to the steering limiter at 2 times per second or faster. "Slapping the tank". Gotta ease up on her when she gets crazy and abosorb it. One thing about this spanking new 750 is is has an electronically controlled steering damper onboard.. stock I'm not going to have to upgrade or change a single thing on the bike but a tank protector and some comfy new grips. Maybe some spools so I can throw her in the stands for the break in oil changes. I found a promotion coupon to score the tail cover free that matches the simulated carbon pieces. Sexy curves!

Good luck with the 750 bro.
Do not panic when things get sketchy and 9 times out of 10 you'll be good. Traffic cone shouldnt of caused this much drama. You can ride over 2x4's easily on a bike if you know how. |

First the photos.
I'll post the details later. Are you ready to rock? Ugh! Showa/Brembo! if looks could kill Oh Suzi, I missed you. I thought I'd never see you again. There's never been a happier person alive. Good 'ol Idyllwild never fails to wake you up. All the work done for me already This year's swingarm is cherried. The title of this picture is "Muscle" I have the seat eliminator cover coming. Cowl thing whatever. Take control This thing was fun but I only have 35 miles experience with it. None muh ol' jixxers ever had me none 'them fancy gadgets. Familiar dual short ram air design with a pudgy rounded face. this time new headlight At least I held out and passed up the CBR250 hehehe those were a nice 36 first miles. Freakin' thing even has a lap timer.

First thoughts:
This is every bit exactly the vehicle I thought it would be and wanted it to be., and then some. I couldn't get any more happy. I don't think it's possible. The newer bikes corner so dang well! Very flickable too for a GSXR. The tank was perfectly comfy. The narrow rounded seat was too! I found a great position on the bike already and started laughing hysterically. I did not like the ZX6R seat, it was square! However I did like the ZX6R tank shape looks even though it's shaped to hit the ground and explode. GSXR comes with tank sliders stock! The bike came stock with BT016! The power mode button is interesting! I don't have a manual with the bike for some reason but I can see one is softer and one is more abrupt and raw power. I got lost trying to figure out all the buttons on the handlebar for the tachometer and dash board and clock and timer and this and that and that! I don't have the manual, again, I need to go find one. The brakes on this thing are out of this world. I've said it before and I'll say it again, these bikes are just plain safer than the ninja because of the amazing braking systems and suspension systems they have. I cut through the corners like I'm on solid steel rails but when I'm on the ninja I'm all over the place. The GSXR feels much more trustworthy in the corners to me for some reason. Of course, it cost three times what the ninjette does! Always love the low position of the sS over the big giant tanks. Power was great! This is the perfect bike for me. No need for a 1000 but always wanted a hair more than 600. Here it is! Power will never disappoint me on this bike for any reason ever. The lights are genius. In the mirrors and off the fairings to keep them nice! The ZX6R has huge ugly lights on the side fairings! Turn off! the integrated rear GSXR tail lights take the cake. I have the free cowl coming soon, they ordered it. I got 4.9% financing. (That is better than the Suzuki website will offer you) Since I had $1000 down, I am paying $250 a month. I did not have the $5000 down they wanted to get my payment to $189 a month. I did get them to knock off the shipping/crate/assembly fees and I did get them to honor the free $255 tail cowl deal that ends later this month. I also got them to accept me with only $1000 down, which took some haggling and walking out a few times. They don't normally want to let these bikes go without you putting a good chunk of equity into them. But, I am good for it and the people who helped me get the bike know I am, as they helped me get my ninja also. I don't want to hear any crap from anyone because you are lucky I told you what I paid and what the deal was. That would be kind of you guys. I think I did good. I basically got out the door for $1000 plus a small finance rate. Financing was the only way I could purchase a brand new bike like this. I fully intend to baby the bike and pay for it ASAP. I've wanted this far too long to mess it up.

Lol my old GSXR Alstare revved higher.
I think I heard those were specially tuned or something. The alstare would lift front wheel if you let it rev to 16k up a freeway ramp and just sat on it. It was only a 600 too. I can definitely feel the 750 has more torque available. Man this thing is sick I had to put all the locks on and lock the door so I stop staring at it. Tomorrow I get to spend one day with it to break it in.Also adjusting everything to fit me and learning what everything on it does. I somewhat seated the pads already tonight but it still has more tire break in and pad seating to do. I got it with one mile on it. You should have seen them shaking when I pulled it off the lot, wondering if I know how to ride a bike or not. hahahahahahaha Need an oil change. We're gonna go motoman break-in routine on this one. Also need a service manual and the regular stock manual. Never received that?! Stock toolkit looks just like the ninjette lol but even less I think. terrible. Need a stop and go tire plugger and the other normal bike emergency kit stuff for this thing. Got my AAA card up to date, my own provider insurance squared away and work lined up to pay for it all. I'm set.

Can't sleep.
Time to find a nice long straight road and break in the engine. If there is even the slightest chance a mild-ish moto man break in helps the bike be faster in the long run I'll take it. Only thing is my eye still isn't back to 100% like the doctor said it would be by now. It steel feels a bit itchy but no pain. It's kinda strained a bit too it seems. Lil worried about that dang it I hope it goes back to 100%

Grata on the bike looks ****ing sweet! Good job on the financing as well! 4.9 with only a grand down is freaking sick! That was a shot ton of patience and will power on your part. Too bad you are booked for Saturday I know a guy going on an epic ride and I am sure that gixxer would have loved it

All these bikes lead me to believe that while they are no match for the suspension and brakes on the SS bikes, the current 250 class of street bikes is pretty freakin' good for what they are and what they cost!
Still no "Mothership" like this here GSXR. But you can't help but to be impressed with the CBR250 and Ninjette 250R. Just have to know how to handle those little squerrely bikes well to make full enjoyment of them. I would never put it past anyone who owns a Ninjette 250R or a CBR 250R. IMO they are good bikes.. specially at $5k OTD. I'm stoked I will be able to keep the 250 while paying for the 750. If anything happens I always have the 250 to sell if needed too. The 750 is much nicer on the freeway for sure.
