Bridgestone has launched Battlax BT-003RS

Has anyone tried these tires yet? They come in kiddie ( I mean 250r) sizes. I have read they are great but I haven't talked to anyone who actually has them yet.

I couldn't find them on the Bridgestone page that would fit our bikes.

thanks for the link.

so, how is anybody supposed to have tried these if they are not out yet?

Motorcyclists in North America will find the new Battlax BT-003RS available in the replacement market in 3 front-wheel sizes and 6 rear-wheel sizes from mid-2009.

Love the 002RS's; those are all I use on the 10R. Will likely change to 003RS's as soon as they are readily available and priced reasonably. The 003RS's look to come in the ninjette front size (110/70/17), but there is no rear 130/70/17 available. They do make a 140/70/17, which would likely fit onto the rim but its performance would be a crapshoot until someone actually gets one on and puts some miles on it to see how it behaves pinched onto the small rim.

The 003RS's look very promising. I think I will go from the Pirelli sportdemons and try these for my next set.

Gonna get myself a set of 002 RSs for my CBR very soon.

If the 003 RS is released when I'm ready for a new set and priced well, I'll probably switch.

The 002 RS priced at about 240 shipped... Can't beat that with a stick

Just about everyone on the FSB TD's jumped off Michelin power races for these 003's. (I think cause of MotoGP )

I know the older 002's had RS listed on the end of PN. The ones that there selling now are listed as 003's, without the RS. Bridgestone dude is gonna have a bunch of these tires for sale next month at the track, so will so look & ask about them < being I havent seen the new ones

Bunch of places have been selling the biggers sizes for a few months now:

Bridgestone made both 002 tires and the 002RS tires. 002 were focused on track use, and were available in a couple different compounds. 002RS were the combination street/track versions, and were made with the hardest compound. Trustworthy rumors suggest that in the last year, the 002RS was virtually identical to the hard compound 002 version, with slightly deeper tread.

The 003 has been available for almost a year, and track folks are generally impressed with them though they seem to take longer to warm up than the 002's. I haven't heard a peep yet about the 003RS's in terms of real world experiences and writeups, but it won't be long before I'd expect to here more and more. If the past informs the present, the 003RS's won't be terribly different from the 003, and that's a good thing...

Kerry, what is the date for the FSB trackday? I'm going to "Riding into History" on the 16th and I have to get to Boston sometime this month ( May) but if I am free for the trackday my son and I will hike up (just to check out these tires).

^ Its the 16th & 17th, Iam just doing Sat.

Found this little chart from Bridgestone, guess the RS is more towards street than the plain 003.

Michelin is doing away with the Power Race, now everybody is selling there new Power One. Think I might just have to buy a new set of Stones while at the track

Kerry,
16th is "Riding into History" at The World of Golf in St. Augustine.

I've been getting experience on the GSXR 1000 lately (when my son TJ isn't on it). I can't believe how light and nimble it feels.
