How boned am I?

Was trying remove the front cowl of my 250 so I can get at the headlight assembly since I am going to be putting in a BK Moto HID kit.

Found the one screw that was tightened by the hand of Thor.

How boned am I?

You need to go to the hardware or home improvement store and buy screw extracting kit. iIt contains a set of bits that "bite" into the stripped screw head as you turn it.

take the allen wrench
put the allen wrench in the bolt, put some silicone sealant on it to get more grip. Let it harden and then apply some wd-40 or other lubricant to the inside of the bolt to help loosen it up. Try to remove it then.

If that doesn't work find a drill, drill into it and use a vise grip to unscrew it.

Regardless of the option you go with, replace the damn thing when you're done

I've heard super glue can work like that as well.

I like the silicone more though, easier to remove when you're done. The downside is it can tear easily if you don't let it sit long enough

Snake's answer got my noodle going and I got it off using a Torx screwdriver WOO!

Sidenote it also comes off easier if you turn it in the right direction

Yeah I definitely should, I don't understand what happened I mean I took out all the other screws with no issues over the past 2 days. But that last one I
completely ****ed up on.

I wonder if my mechanic would be annoyed if I gave him the bike like this.

Yeah, not gonna happen, only reason she's like that right now is that I've ordered a bunch of toys for her, putting in some HID's and a koso gauge. trying to save a bit of money by putting those in myself, I'll let the mechanic handle the dirty jobs though.

I hear ya, but you should reconsider my offer, that $200.00 USD, that's like a few million in CAD... RIGHT?
