The 2022 Zero SR: An EV for Every Level of Rider

Contents
The Zero SR slots itself right between the high- and low-end models in Zero’s 2022 model lineup. It sits below the SR/S and SR/F models but offers just as much tech and impressive performance for notably less money. The American company has made significant updates to the motorcycle for 2022, and it’s now a better deal than ever before.

Visually, the Zero SR is identical to the more potent Zero SR/F. The differences between the two motorcycles lie under the minimal body panels and within the exposed trellis frame. The 2022 Zero SR gets a less powerful iteration of the Z-Force 75-10 motor. Peak output figures are a claimed 74hp and 122lb-ft of torque, plenty enough to propel the motorcycle to a top speed of 104mph.

The Zero SR will come with a 14.4kWh battery as standard and does not get the optional 15.6kWh battery pack offered with the Zero SR/S and SR/F. The ZF14.4+ battery pack, as Zero calls it, has been updated for 2022, offering the option to upgrade and access an additional 20% of battery capacity. A full charge takes 4.5 hours, and you can bring this number down to as low as 1.8 hours if you use the 6kW Rapid Charger and 0.3kW Cypher Upgrade.

Speaking of, Zero made some pretty significant changes to its operating system this year. The Cypher III+ Operating System now offers downloadable, real-time updates from a new Cypher Store. Some cool features you can purchase include lower charge times, added performance, and more.

Zero Motorcycles has also equipped the SR with some neat hardware, from sporty Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires to fully adjustable Showa suspension at either end.

The 2022 Zero SR starts at $18,595 USD / $23,995 CAD.
