MotoGP Motegi Japan most likely postponed due to Iceland volcano

Motegi Japan round of MotoGP World Championship most likely postponed due to Iceland volcano eruptionIn an example of force majeure, the MotoGP event that was scheduled for this weekend (April 23-25) at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit in Japan is reportedly due to be postponed because of the major disruption to airline flights over Europe because of the danger posed by the volcanic ash from the eruption on Iceland. Although much of the equipment is reportedly already in Japan, the ability of all team personnel to make the flights over in time to make preparations is seriously in question, forcing MotoGP organizers Dorna to decide very soon whether postponing the event is feasible. Current plans are to move the event to October 3, making it three flyaway races in a row: Motegi, Malaysia, and Phillip Island.
