Black paint coming off muffler!

I cannot believe how much of the black paint on the muffler can is peeling off! I will have to remove the muffler and re-do the entire paint. Anyone else have paint chip and peel off their 2008 and newer 250?

Nope, my stock muffler took a good hit when it fell over in a doorway and the muffler has a big white spot from the paint it took off the door jam....pretty damn tough...did someone paint your muffler before?

Maybe because I ride the bike in a lot of rain lately? I dunno shouldn't happen but it's coming off in several areas. I asked the question more out of curiosity than anything else.

Gonna pull the can and repaint in hi temp paint used on BBQ grilles. Thanks for the reply.
