The UK also drives on the opposite side of the road as the US, so we're saying the same thing. It's not illegal to pass on the other side in the US however, is it? Really, as long as you have a properly functioning vehicle and go the speed limit, there aren't a whole lot of rules governing how to drive.

More Britishisms: of course over here we're left-hand drive, so we're on the right side of the road and the right-most land is the slow lane.

Also, over here we 'overtake' people, not 'undertake' them. Undertaking is something only done when people have shuffled off this mortal coil, joined the choir eternal, or otherwise generally are an ex-person.

Akima, this is a serious question. Are there more left handed people in England compared to say...America?

He he - English people are not imbued with the knowledge of international left-handedness statistics!

All I know is that the majority of people here are right handed.

I think motorcycle controls are in the same place for English and Americans.

I know in New Zealand the controls are, or at least, were, back to front. I know that because one of the guys who taught me how to ride said that the only time he has ever crashed a motorcycle (in more than 30 years of riding) was when he was in New Zealand and momentarily forgot to consciously brake using the left lever. Resultantly, he didn't shave off enough speed before the corner and ended up going off the road.

That's interesting! I just didn't know if there was any correlation between driving on the left and left handedness.

Speed cameras, LOL. Rented a car in London, and canceled my CC when I got home.
